I want to become a TF2 caster. How do I start?

Hello tf.tv!
My name is Pop Fizzy, and since I was 12 I've wanted to be a TF2 caster for professional play. However, every opening requires at least a year of experience, which brings up the issue; where do I get experience?
I stream on Twitch, and I am recording castings I've done over games I've done. The only thing I can assume is to just record some clips of myself, apply for smaller tournaments for free and hope for the best. Aside from that, I can't think of much else I can do to get experience under my belt.
Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you all!
