Jesus, DM imo is supposed to be fast constant action where you just try to hit your shots, having instant spawn around mid isn't "realistic" getting your health and ammo back from a kill isn't "realistic". Oh it's also not realistic to take 1v4's against players that will flee after you do 60 damage to them and let their team deal with you because you can literally only 1v4, unless you're pasta god in game, expecting all their players are full-health.
Collaideyou get punished for being in a bad position but you can't really expect someone to spawn behind you or the person you just killed to spawn in front of u with full health and ammo.
Okay, so this is why you prefer to get punished for having a worse team and thus you can't get through choke points without getting fucked. I think that's the point, when you know people spawn randomly around the map, you look around you constantly, and not just at the opponent's choke, leading to your team just spamming their choke so if they wanted to actually get to fight without taking 3 rockets in their faces, they'd have to run like all the way from choke to big door in gully or some retarded shit.
EDIT: You can also hear them spawn behind you, and it anyways happens pretty rarely, and you can still win the fight, it's instant spawn, you get to spawn elsewhere and frag again anyways, while with fixed spawns you spawn you get fucked in spawn or if you're lucky you get to take 1v4 in your choke.
