I might be missing something here, but it seems like at least on paper the heavy is one of the only classes that gets almost no benefits from a quick-fix med. It wont make the medic any more mobile and is one of the classes that really needs a full 150% buff to be as effective as possible. Likewise, it doesn't deal enough simultaneous damage to combat the QF uber.

i use Q to alternate between 1&2 and E to alternate between 1&3 which I put in specifically for pyro then just stuck with it for the other classes.

i only work with Live 8 (dont have 9) but I'd be happy to help if need be. all the built-in effects are pretty intuitive and sound great, once you get used to them I'd suggest downloading whatever free plugins you can find. they're all over the internet and it's a great way to learn sound design.

Something big enough to use a lot but not too big you can't put it on an inevitably small college desk. Most schools have a computing services department, and it's nice to have a model that they can fix if it breaks (unless doing that yourself is your kind of thing). I like a lot of the new HP pavilion laptops, they've got a lot of processing power at a good price.

been in a non-band college for two years and I'm suffering pretty hard. Still get to work with my high-schoolers in the summer though!
