Thank you to everyone who tuned in to watch the game. Very special thanks to Himari for providing me with a lot of last minute details as well as great background manager.
I don't cast much but may attempt to do other games If I can get some help and positive response =]
Cheers!

I've been working on this for a while but somehow my VM I add is always above my ammo and health. Anything I'm doing wrong?

Good job on getting this out and about mate!
ComangliaThis isn't worth $20, this isn't really any different than the free Razer Game booster. Also for people who use Launch options, CFGs, and disabled aero. You'll likely see very little difference if at all.
Question, Razer game booster stopped services and controlled the priority of applications, but isn't the point of this software to control the cores the processes are running on?
I can understand if you said this was no different to or a simplified version of process lasso, but isn't comparing it to game booster a bit off?
I'm just asking because I've messed with proccess lasso and cpu affinity kind of thing with tf2 before and generally found some positive results, on paper it seems to be doing something along the lines so I'm just reconfirming.
I personally wouldn't mind shelling out a small amount of cash if it does it's job right. Process lasso is a little rich for my taste with it's yearly subscription.
The best Ive done manually is disabling cpu0 in the task manager affinity.
Edit: Actually guys this should be covered by the 2 week steam policy shouldn't it? if so a try could be harmless!
It's 39 MYR where I live which is 9.95 usd, a better deal to my mates here.
I'd say this and cross hair customizations( I get that we can do it ourselves but in built would be great too) would be an amazing addition to tf2 . Not sure how willing valve is to do it though.
I suppose any long mix or the kind of tracks you'd listen to when writing an essay or paper.

Use this for the vast majority of my work personally, (Imagines yttrium hud coding montage).
pazerThere are no hard and fast "best" values for this cvar really.
An honest answer at least, thank you for answering mate!
deetrYour FPS should just be as high as you can get it. There is no magic number having to do with refresh rate or tickrate. That being said, TF2 does not have any input lag added by capping your fps aside from the input lag that every game experiences by having its fps capped AFAIK
I guess that makes sense.
so TLDR for anyone reading the thread till now:
Screentearing can be fixed minimally with fps_max but there will never be a substitute to a higher refresh monitor par the lag input inducing vsync option.
Fps max should be used only to control heat issues or maintain a more forgivable value for local servers or non intensive ones such as mge or DM. Higher values result in lower amounts of input lag as the engine is running more frames per second.
Vast majority of values suggested by the masses being personal preference since input lag will vary between numbers.
Numbers below the cmd rate (seen some people set this god knows why) will cause hitreg issues in general.
pazerTry changing your cap by 2 or 3 fps in the positive or negative direction. If you set your fps_max to certain values, you'll end up with a screen tear in roughly the same spot every frame which is very very distracting and ugly.
Is there any specific values or ideas you would have? I personally found the "cap to your refresh rate" or "(refresh rate x2)+1" to not really be adequate or have enough evidence to be confident with them but I ain't a tech so yeah.
Chris in the past mentioned that at minimum the fps cap should be double the tickrate you prefer in favor of hitreg but I am not sure how true or how serious the results would be.
Shoosh
Can confirm, limit your fps to 60 and try play, you just cant.
Yeah this is kind of what I mean, though what values past double the cmd rate I do not know which are effective.
I get that the default is 300, so logically that can't be a terrible move but any other values truly worth considering? (for toasters that don't hit 300 but want to benefit from capping for stability as well as temperature control)
I thought Comanglia mentioned that if you consistently hit the cap then you get input lag of sorts.
Not sure myself though I never liked fps caps.
I'm not sure if I have the right idea, but there are some old viewmodels from before the love and war update( this update added new view models at the time iirc) that you can try but looking at that screenshot it appears to be even older. If suggest using the tf2s beta options were they allow you to run tf2 from before said update as well as looking for the old school view model fixes in the etf2l forums movies section as well.
Hopefully some combination can help you

Qun gave this away back when he was still in Infused. It's basically the TF2 font on the side
