If I make a video on my channel today urging people to sign up new teams for ESEA Open, what exactly should I tell them? How much will it cost per team to play in the season, where do they sign up? Anything else I missed?
I once had my apostrophe key bound to "slay @red"
Ran a pug on my server and hit that key after we lost a midfight by accident. Duder was there. It was hilarious.
Team TF2 brings a tear to my eye <3
Aw man, sounds like it would have been fun hanging out. Too bad I was in class that weekend.
"AGKJADKGHAWTOGNSALGKJAWTG" - me and cbear shouting simultaneously about the LG v Whales viaduct cap.
Artosis for best TF2 caster of 2012.
Lange did the most wonderful imo.
To be fair, I hardly did any work at all.
UPDATE!
According to Hein, Eric S. always says he'll forward messages to the right people. So I want to make very clear that I have no relationship with him, and since I don't know what their selection process is, this thread really doesn't mean a lot.
If you're looking for people who actually have Valve's ear, I'm not your guy. Sorry! I can still send them emails just like you can, but they won't mean any more than the other thousands of emails they get per day.
Gonna go sleep now, being sick still sucks. News at 11.
Odissius- Heiny :3
- UGC HL Admin...He has been a HUUUGE help to many teams in the competitive community as well as his contribution of Heinsight videos, where he goes over maps and strategies with |eXtv| Moose. Also, he's an awesome guy.

- I'm sure he'd enjoy something that sparkles for medic.
p.s. Sal, any chance you could clear off some random goober from your friend's list (as it is full) I really need to talk to you about something...just need 5 minutes of your time.

Yo!
Major Thread Edit!
I would like to put together a nomination list to send to Valve for community weapons to make sure they don't overlook folks who work hard behind the scenes for the community. So thanks for all the responses so far!
But I may have come across in the original intro as sounding like I had Valve's ear, or some sort of leverage, which I do not. I have no idea how they select community item recipients, and I assume there is some sort of criteria set.
Not to be a wet blanket or anything - by all means let's nominate people! But don't expect my email to be special, any more than any other random Valve fan's would be.
Cbear made the point in his stream that eXtine and I make money from the YouTube VODs. I think he overestimated what eXtine makes - I make like $100-150 a month, which is respectable, but won't pay any kind of rent in any state.
And would I like it to pay rent? Of course! If I could make enough money from casting TF2 to pay for my day-to-day shit, I'd drop my accounting career in a heartbeat and cast TF2 all day. In that sense, it IS about the money - if I don't make enough from it for it to be a viable career, then it will always be a hobby, subject to increasing time pressure from other shit I've got going on. Shit like work, school, and building a social life.
Coming at it from a slightly different angle, as an economist, I like to see situations where financial incentives align nicely with the desired outcomes. We want to see TF2 as an esport alongside Starcraft and LOL? Then the financial incentives need to be there to support it.
DJC says he doesn't want to.
