Instead of dissing Sigafoo for spending $1k of his own money on supporting a game mode he enjoys instead of shoving it at a game mode he doesn't play, why don't you donate $1k of your own money to 6s? I don't understand, if you don't enjoy Prolander actually say why instead of just [waaah stop giving money to thing I don't like]. Let the man spend his money how he wants and if you have an actual reason to dislike Prolander other than the fact that it's popular to dislike that's fine, but it seems to me that most of you are just jumping on the bandwagon to hate Sigafoo and his game mode. You act like he's somehow obligated to support 6s and 6s only just because he has money to throw into a competitive format.
not only has plenty of feedback about why people don't like his mode been posted in this thread, he's already received that feedback a hundred times already.
he's not obligated to do anything with his money, it's his money. but the question is if he really doesn't want this 1000 dollars and he wants to put it into making tf2 more popular this is the worst way to do it

why not put this 1000 dollars into a 6s tournament. you have the connections, you could easily donate this money to ESEA for the invite div to encourage more invite teams to play the already most popular mode (which by the way is time tested for 10 years) but instead you really want to push this mode that fractures the community moreso than it already is, and for what? do you genuinely believe this thing you came up with, that -- to be blunt -- is not radically different at all, is a better competitive format for TF2? valve has set their mind on 6s, you should be supporting that

the negev in csgo was updated to be just as broken as the pyro was with JI, reducing its cost by over half and changing its recoil pattern so after a second of continuous fire, it had zero spread
ESL and ESEA literally banned the weapon next week because it needed time to determine if this would affect high level play, and it was almost unanimously agreed that it should stay banned for at least a little while despite pro players saying they werent going to use it. its why the most recent CS update was another pass at the negev.
the same situation is playing out here with pyro. it's been updated poorly and made too easy to play, and even though it may not affect the highest level of play, many players including some of the highest level of play would like to see it banned in order to call valves attention to the problem

And I have no idea where you're going with the fallacy fallacy attack. I never once claimed that people were wrong because they made bad arguments. I claimed things (Pyro is not overpowered, Dragon's Fury is not overpowered, Detonator is not overpowered), backed them with reasoning (limited range and speed and bad matchups vs almost every class, inferior to and more difficult than stock, a scapegoat for actually pressing issues), and countered people's arguments against me, which involves pointing out fallacies.
Nowhere did I say that "because your committed a logical error, I am right." Rather, the logical error means that your criticism of my argument is invalid, and you have to either make a new argument, or cede the point.
