#18 cool summer strats in Off Topic
the301stspartan1) Acquire huge jug (2l+)
2) Fill with water
3) Add shitloads of ice
4) Have at least 3 seperate ice cube containers so you always have ice to refill
5) Enjoy being watercooled

Also, fan points away from you to the closest wall (or at your computer if it's melting)

I guess I was lied to when I was told that Germans don't like ice.

Thank you so much for this! I was going to move to Brazil and play in NA matches letting lag compensation do the rest; but this is much easier and a bit more effective.

Thanks! And also well done with your FTP and mumble tutorials, they helped me out alot when i was first setting up my server :)

Awesome; I love hearing that I helped someone! Also since this man enjoyed my content he is clearly a wonderful pickup for any open ESEA team; someone pick him up.

#9 Twitch Reddit AMA in Off Topic

I found out that I can barley watch streams because of my time Warner internet. One user said you can get around this by using a proxy. Can anyone help me out with this? I have never had much reason to look into how proxys work or how to use them but would love to learn now.

here is the comment thread I am referring to: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1exa2k/hi_im_emmett_shear_founder_and_ceo_of_twitch_the/ca4o3y7

#153 ESEA s14 Invite Gossip Thread in TF2 General Discussion
masonmile said they didnt mesh with slin and i believe that because their last medic, ninjanick wasnt that strong of a maincaller nor did he really micro the team

This is more correct than you think. When I left the team and they picked up Jay, hibachi, and phife(again) the entire dynamic of the team changed; not for better or for worse just changed. This created a pool of players that were no longer fit together in the same way. When I was on the team Mile and I picked up players to go with our style of play, however with the pickup of a new scout, soldier, and position changes the dynamic of the team changed but the medic didn't; I'm sure anyone who has been on a team can already see the problem with this. Especially taking into consideration exactly how crucial the medic role is to a team. Mile was put in the difficult situation of trying to find the right person for the job and through this process (along with the team) had to make very hard choices; harder choices than I ever had to make. I respect the team in not giving up and attempting to be as fair as possible, however they are not perfect and situations could of been handled cleaner.

I personally like and respect Slin and he is a top level medic who is perfect for a team; just not the current incarnation of Vector. I wish him the best of luck in finding a roster that fits his style perfectly because that is what he deserves.

This is also the last time I will speak in relation to vector as I am barley involved with the team any more (though they are extraordinary friends of mine that I talk to daily). I'm sure people are sick of my name popping up whenever vector is mentioned considering I am essentially irrelevant to the topic. I really shouldn't even of made this post but as I'm sure people know by now it's VERY hard for me to not butt in; and its one of my worst aspects as an individual (beside dota rage of course).

#279 Esea Client Mining Bitcoins in Off Topic
TronPaulI'm not and have never been an ESEA subscriber, but I was considering joining a team sometime in the summer or spring. After this whole debacle, I cannot consider joining or supporting ESEA in good conscience. I cannot believe how quickly it seemed everyone gave up and stopped caring. If you want companies to feel they can just walk all over video game players and competitive communities, well you just sent that message loud and clear.

People didn't "give up" or "stop caring" what happened was ESEA responded to the issue and created solutions that made a majority of the community at peace with the situation. Again everyone is rightfully upset that this happened but that doesn't mean its a situation that can't be fixed.

If you want to get upset at something get upset about the fact that the amount of truthful information we got out of ESEA was directly proportional to the amount of upvotes their reddit post had. I wonder what information we would of got if the situation didn't explode the the mainstream gaming community. That's the facet of this story that concerns me the most; and why ESEA will not have the same level of trust as I once had for them.
