Hey everyone, I'm looking to Roster Ride for S15, I main medic, can certainly handle myself on roam, and having been sinking lots of time into scout and demo. I can pay league fees to fill a spot if someone can't make it for a match. I DO NOT have the time to dedicate to a first string position. But I will certainly be "that guy" on your roster for if shit goes down hill and someone can't make the match.
Hit me up:

2 Seasons of ESEA O history
EDIT to coincide with the stickied recruit thread requirements:
I believe I am a mid - high open medic, and a mid soldier/scout and a low demo.
I work hard to have my comms in matches be short and concise, to the point. No extra details, but all the pertinant info. My past TF2 schedule was every night for about a year. I used to average around 120 hours / weeks, and have around 300 hours on medic and soldier each. Almost all that time is competitive hours.
When I pug I play pug.na, and used to run my own little in house pugs about a year back but let the group go. I've coached a few newbie mixes in the past.
I'm 25, male, good computer, with the best internet possible in Northern Canada. I will not be able to scrim every night at X:xx time, but I will be able to show up for scrims if team leader says "hey, on Friday we have a match and so and so can't make it, we'll need you". I will be there for scrims, and match time.
I played on "eCg" in open in S13, and backed up for "your move" in S14 (exact same situation as this season, no time to main). I would prefer not to be viewed just as a medic B/U, as I can hold my own on roam and scout.
I will not put up with ass holes. I would rather play with chill dudes looking to improve and make playoffs as a team, rather than a team looking to cut people until they create a super team regardless of personality clashes and attitude problems.
ETS doesn't give a fuck about TF2
BLoodSireI didn't get to watch it either. Just curious, when the VODS are released would you guys enjoy/want to see a stream of them with commentary/analysis/casting?
I don't usually watch vods once I know the result but it could be cool in a group setting if you guys wanted to watch it with me over stream
Yes
I thought it might be nice if there could be a "Name & Team name" + Maybe their current standing posted on the screen when doing an interview with a player.
Lots of experience for scout with B0ss, he's dedicated, killer DM, picks the right encounters and has great comms. He's never the one to clutter comms. Pick this guy up, or at least try him out.
real chill in mumble
Bump for this guy, solid commitment to the game. Will be online every night to scrim, MGE, ultiduo. up for anything and everything. Never leaves you hanging on scrim night. Has been a team captain up until this point so you know the commitment is there.
Give this guy a tryout for his first season of open.
ApolloftwFeedback:
Unlocks:
Vita-saw: Slows down gameplay. It does not speed up gameplay at all. It will force both medics to use it making it tournament less enjoyable for players and spectators.
Paintrain: It has been proven in the past to be a straight upgrade for soldiers in Ultiduo. Many people in this thread have also said it should not be allowed.
Equalizer: Allow it. Almost no soldiers will use it.
Blutsauger: Allow it. Provides medics with another syringe gun option.
Direct Hit: It will be very annoying to play against also (depending on if the DH soldier can hit his shots) can make the team with DH too powerful.
Servers:
Location: Please have the server locations be Chicago/Dallas only.
Routing: Make sure to test the routing of the servers before the tournament starts.
Map: ultiduo_baloo is fine.
Casting:
Mumble: I have watched some of the cast of the DSGL and their has been no use of mumble at all. Please use mumble for casting instead of in-game voice. It's really bad to be hearing in-game voices in STV demos. Also have mumble overlay disabled if your the cameraman.
HUD: Please use a custom spectator HUD (TFTV's spectator HUD would be prefered).
CFG: Generally its best to have show spec items and chat disabled if your the cameraman. Or you could ask for a spectator cfg (example: TrukTruk).
Thanks for the comments apollo.
The tournament will be played in Seattle, as this is a Seattle based community. So promoting the west coast server is the goal.
The games that are cast, will be cast using mumble, as are the rest of the current DSGL matches. Here is the mumble: ducksoupgaming.com (port 64738)
As for a HUD, I'm not too sure what we'll use yet. As who might cast this is still up in the air. My internet connection is not strong enough for me to cast, and the other DSG casters I have spoke with have expressed interest, but are having conflicting personal scheduling. So it is entirely possible that this may not be cast as much as one would hope.
As for the weapon whitelist, the only comment I have is that Ducksoup is a public gaming community, there are no weapon restrictions on the servers, so I wanted to keep the game somewhat true to that nature in allowing weapons like the vitasaw, paintrain, bluts, DH etc
Changing the format to suit other more "competitive" communities is not the goal. The goal is to say "hey, here at ducksoup we play different, and still have fun. Come check it out". Rather than the "we do the same cookie cutter format as everyone else".
Now it should be mentioned that I'm simply a member of the forums, not an admin or mod. So this is entirely at my discretion.
Thanks for the comments.
dyzPrancer's Pride soldier hat?
I think you mean exquisite rack
Yep, edited
SBARROHOTTOPIC
Pain Train should be banned because, in all honesty, it's the best weapon to use. There's literally zero reason not to use it. in the extv ultiduo tournament a while ago I remember they banned it for the exact reason that it was the best weapon to use.
Blutsauger is all right, I guess, it's just kind of annoying to play against.
Direct Hit is just...the Direct Hit. if you want to include it 'just for stream viewers' so be it, but it's really not fun to play against in any way.
the Vita-Saw is my main issue here. the weapon is effectively rewarding medics when they die for little drawbacks. it completely removes the risk/reward factor of committing your med to forcing theirs. whichever medic runs the vita-saw will always have an advantage on the other medic.
Paintrain: I agree, there really isn't anything better than the paintrain. So both soldiers should be using it, thus creating a much faster paced game with two soldiers running it.
Blut is incredibly annoying to play against, but it creates a very exciting game where a medic has a standing chance, and creates some very sxciting clutch plays.
Vita-saw speeds up the game by 10 seconds between every uber. It means building an uber will be a bit more important in this tournament as opposed to past tourneys, and having to /kill in order to get back with your soldier doesn't entirely reset the uber status which imop creates a much slower game.
SBARROHOTTOPICUbersaw, Crossbow, Blutsauger, Vita-saw
sorry what
Original, gunboats, Direct Hit, Equalizer, Escape Plan, Market Gardener, Pain train
sorry WHAT
Yea I'm trying to create a fast paced game, something upbeat, wihtout having to whitelist the Qfix. gunboats, vita saw, bluts, Ptrain all allow for that. and the Dhit for the sream viewers.
