I have a GTX 970 and a i7 6700k quad core processor and my game is dropping to 70 fps on all low settings and in dx8. Idk what the issue is but it's pretty ridiculous, unless this game is just that shit

TF2 Black Screens and doesnt load on startup

I open TF2, I get the loading wheel. I go onto my second monitor and press it on my toolbar and it just comes up with a blackscreen. It happens a lot but gets fixed somehow.
If anyone knows a fix i'd appreciate it
