If it's anything like FFXI, I'd probably steer clear. But considering this isn't 2002 and the expectations for MMOs have increased tremendously since then, I highly doubt it will be that similar.
I thought a lot of people like FFXI, but maybe I'm wrong.

Has anybody here played the beta? If so is it worth trying it out on release? I was a WoW player and I haven't played ff 11 before so I was wondering if it is a good game.Also can I play this somewhat casually? I'm not sure how much time I will have to hardcore raid and what not.

Adam Sessler is the ultimate hand talker, but those are some interesting points that I have to agree with. I never really thought how esports was like chess, but it really is (minus the extreme amount of brain power required to be good at it.)
Played a season with him and it was fun. He can jump and crouch well (surf rockets), he has pretty good positioning and doesn't really drop anymore :P. Also he is a fun person to be around in general. You should definitely give Nate a try.
Played on a team with him kinda. He is a great scout/sniper/solder. He can main call and he has great dm. He is also in general a nice person to be around. Pick him up!
