Marleyah the classic getting exactly what you wished for.
comp tf2 players "if only the pub community knew about comp then tf2 would be a major esport"
Hundreds of pub players start doing tf2 centers and thousands more could come after matchmaking is implemented.
comp tf2 players "all these fucking noobs are so toxic and ruin the game I liked it better before."

The inherent problem is that the more popular comp gets the more toxic members of the community it attracts.
See dota LoL and CS:GO for examples of this.

I want tf2 to be popular, I just don't want to have to see, hear, or deal with the new players.
