i was in speech and debate in high school so i had to get used to hearing recordings of myself
glassyour voice sounds different to you than it does to everyone else. you're used to the way your voice sounds because you're getting it internally and through your eardrums. when you hear a recording of yourself, that's no longer true.
this is also the same reason we dont mind mirrors but may not like pics of ourselves.
