he did but he said the courts realized pretty quickly hes just a weird autist and not a domestic terrorist. still fucked up his life for a while and a lot of his best videos had to be deleted

please take this as a consolation prize
thanking the lord that the pictures are gone
i got a shiny croagunk in my first mass outbreak and have not found another since
bearodactylzephyrhttps://fitgirl-repacks.site/pokemon-legends-arceus/im stupid but how do i actually use this do i need another emulator program or whatever
If anyone's looking to try it before they "buy it"
You run it through an emulator called ryujinx. Fitgirl does good stuff, and usually their switch repacks have the emulator in the folder as well. Once you install it you should be configured and ready to go. Usually they have a shortcut that opens the game through the emulator for you. At most you'll need to find a prod.keys file and put it in a specific location but it's not rocket science
DuMmTmi really wanna be optimistic about GameFreak doing new things with the franchise but the fact that it is different gameplay feels like the only talking point i have seen from the general public over how good that gameplay is in actuality.
its still very ultimately a pokemon game and the gameplay feels very familiar, but how you interact with the world and fill out your pokedex is nice and you can do a lot without feeling tedious. it could use some tweaks though. the box system is basically unchanged and that makes things really messy when you need to catch 25 magikarps to fill out part of its pokedex entry. a way to stack them would be nice
oh yeah also the lore stuff is fuckin weird. theres a lot of stuff that they tried to justify considering that youre however far in the past, and they would have been better off just not acknowledging it at all
Just like with BDSP i have been emulating the game all week before it was released. Want to get some other peoples opinions on it.
Some of mine are in the spoiler
-Great gameplay loop, makes you actually feel like you are involved in the world and learning about the local populations
-New battle mechanics are nice, the speed system is a good change but strong/agile are mostly forgettable imo
-The human character designs for pokemon have been nonstop bangers for like 27 years now
-having sidequests you can do is really nice
-some of the tracks in the late game go crazy, shoutouts to a solid soundtrack
-apparently the game is scripted in LUA so getting rom hacks shouldnt be horrifically difficult
-I applaud game freak for trying something new and having a pretty solid implementation of it
Cons:
-the game looks fucking BAD. I would be pissed if i bought a game with this visual fidelity 10 years ago. I thought i was one of those people that didnt really care about graphics until i played this game. I upscaled the resolution to 4x and it actually looked fine but people that follow the rules and play it on real hardware are going to be disappointed. I genuinely dont know if i could have finished the game if i played it at native resolution
-trying something new is nice but some of the stuff theyre trying was done better 15 years ago, its pretty unacceptable that the pokemon company cant do better than this
-in the late game, bit of a disconnect between the narrative(figuring out whats happening with the noble pokemon) and the gameplay advancement(exploring and getting survey corps promotions). Sometimes you will complete the story part and still have a lot of grinding left to do, and i dont mean levels
After you beat the game and the credits roll, there is sort of a "true ending" you get in the post game, but it was a pretty significant level jump, grinding up a new team for it now. Here is what im running with:
A man, Grant, about 29 or so, was housesitting For his friends’ neighbours the Sigafoos for about a week while they were out of town. On the last night of the job, after tucking in their children, Grant wanted to explore a little of the house. he walked down a corridor, into the darkness. he turned around to the corner into an empty room and saw a very realistic fridge… scary, with a health cross and a resupply box. Just think of metalworks mid, but even more realistic. He was freaked out, so reached for his mobile immediately and dialled the number of the house owners.
"Excuse me, Mr Sigafoo, I just tucked in your kids but I was wondering what the deal was with your terrifying fridge in the corner of your room.”
On the other end of the line, Grant could hear the man say, "Grant, grab our kids and get out of the house right now! WE DONT HAVE A FRIDGE!"
copy and paste this in 10 other threads or it will happen to u...
I played it a few years back when it was relaticely new. Really cool idea but the freedom was a bit TOO much for me personally. Crystal was my first Pokemon game and I have spent an absurd amount of time in it already. That being said, it's probably more of a problem with me than the game.
I think it's incredible that this idea was executed in a gbc game before something in say, gen 3. My biggest issue with the modern games is how much more streamlined everything is, and more hacks like this coming out would be great.
I have had my finger on the pulse of the rom hacking scene for over 10 years and some of the advancements I've seen are pretty incredible. Excited to see what we get with the huge jumps in gen 4 in the last year or two, as well as the BDSP tom base
YeeHaw'FPH' > international LAN wins
the tldr on this is that being able to attend an international lan is gatekept by both having an international lan to attend, and having the resources to be able to go at all. a lot of players didnt have either or both, so while its obviouly an important part of history, its difficult to weigh performance vs players that couldnt have gone anyway. tery just wanted to keep the NA discussion to the context of NA performance, that is to say invite regular season and playoffs
the most important thing from this game is that we genuinely have a whole ass pokemon game made by a big studio in fucking UNITY
we could literally build an entire 3D pokemon engine off this shit
the rom hacking implications are incredible
the real top 100 players were the friends we made along the way
