I played a couple seasons of open with Protag. He's dedicated, has great DM, and would make a good addition to a solid team. He was a formidable pocket on Carpool Cucks as others have mentioned, but I think he'd really shine as roamer. He could be truly great in that position. Give him a shot! (:

RentQNCitricI haven't tried out the most recent patch. Are the increased hitbox sizes for the small heroes an improvement?
I only played the beta this weekend so I can't compare it to before, but it still feels like small hit-boxes are a over-proportional advantage compared to movement speed and health.
I think the problem is most noticeable with Galena.
In theory Galena should be fairly bad/easy to kill in 1v1 situations, since she has the same slow move speed as the tankiest champions (280), but at the same time only has 100 health.
So you would think that a champion like Ranger should be much harder to kill, since he has the same health (100) but significantly better movement speed (320) and therefor should be harder to hit.
In practice however, Galena has surprisingly high survivability (even without the self heal), which I think is because her model/hit boxes are fairly slim, which makes her harder to hit even tho she moves a bit slower.
At the same time you have heros like this big fat robot (can't remember the name) who have the same move speed as Galena but have 150 health and 25 more starting armor, so just looking at the stats they should have a lot more survivability than Galena.
But their models/hit boxes are so big and they are so easy to hit that their 50 extra health and 25 extra armor don't let them survive for longer than Galena in most situations.
I think that's kinda off when the size of the hit-boxes makes a much bigger difference than the health and speed stats.
It makes it much harder to balance the champions (because there's a third factor now that is pretty hard to quantify) and it's also too counter-intuitive for the players to choose a hero, when the stats don't really tell the full story.
galena's hitbox is currently broken

hi, this is the story from our perspective as best as i can remember it. i asked a couple other people on the team if it was correct and they agreed it was. i am not purposely omitting any facts.
both teams join the server with 5 before 1130 and begin to ready up
the server announces that it will autorestart and remains down for close to an hour
both teams leave and people start going to bed
tri appears last minute and reschedules the match for 1230 at ~1220
both teams scramble to gather players, we can't get our pocket, they can't get their demo. both are presumed asleep
we get our missing player who is at a lan for a league tournament to log in to at least have an afk while we try to 4v5 if they end up getting their demo back
our missing player says he can't stay because he has to play at the lan, so we pay up prevail
this is literally the only opportunity for us to play this match this week and we already have 3 matches for the following week
our pocket comes back! turns out he hadn't fallen asleep. we get our missing player to stay for a couple minutes longer
we have 6, they have 4. they tell us you can't start an esea match with only 4. we take the ffw
they inform us their demo was coming back after all but never told us until after the ffw
i'm sorry we didn't get to play a game. but we made a legitimate good faith effort to play the 5v5 with your team. we would still much rather play you than take the ffw.
i made a little album! http://imgur.com/a/vbLs4

everyone already knows texting and driving is dangerous; education isn't the issue. people are naturally self-centered in our society, so the best way imo is to find a way to incentivize not texting while driving. an example would be lowering the driver's insurance premium. problem is idk how you could easily/reasonably monitor whether or not someone is texting while driving.
Cryptoi have like half made aerowalk, ztndm3 and q3dm6, so once i finish those i'll give those to wrech
any other maps that people would think would work?
Please please please finish ztn
Quake is probably your best bet if you want something relatively close to comp TF2. Other than that, SC2, CS, DOTA maybe? not sure how well that game scales with lower end machines. Also Poker if you live in a state where it's legal.
I think both have their time and place. I drink tea more often, but I've found it's very hard to beat a few cups of good coffee and a stimulating conversation with friends or colleagues.
Just finished The Road by Cormac McCarthy, the author of No Country for Old Men and Blood Meridian. It was pretty good, he's got a cool style, but the story itself is a bit depressing. Currently reading through a bunch of Sherlock Holmes mysteries, all of which have been enjoyable so far and pretty light reading that you don't have to commit much time to, the copy I got on my kindle was free as well since it was out of copyright.
