Thought I would bump this thread with my new Christmas setup :D
Just built my first pc and I would highly recommend this-http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-XL2420TE-Performance-24-Inch-Professional/dp/B00D7IG556/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388172560&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=benq+xlt and its on sale right now!
StarzZhttp://pcpartpicker.com/p/2pD2c should I invest a bit more in my cpu?
You might want to bump the 3.1 to a 3.4 or so and its not much more but you don't need an i7 or anything like that. Personally if you have a bit more an ssd wouldn't be a bad upgrade.
Money from grandparents
Wallet/Clothes
Used my own money to build a pc
So last week I ordered all my parts to my pc and I have them and will be building my pc by the end of this week (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2kHX5). I ended up still having around $100+ or so and I can't decide on a nice ssd or a cheap monitor to accommodate my benq. I would also be willing to buy a used monitor/ssd if they are in decent shape and not too expensive so if you have a monitor or ssd you need to get rid of please let me know. But just let me know which you guys would think would be more beneficial.
Edit: Also suggest cheap monitors please, leaning towards a asus but not sure which one. Or suggest a nice ssd around $100
As soon as finals are over after this week I become ultra christmas peppy and all. Love going to a fancy restraunt and church on Christmas Eve with the family. Also this year super excited since for Christmas I'm building a new pc.

I built one very similiar to this yesterday but a little more expensive but that build is kind of what I am leaning to.
So for Christmas/my birthday I get to build my own PC or buy one but I don't know where to start. I only have my mac laptop and don't know much about computers but my budget is around 800-900 including the monitor so if you guys could recommend a setup or make a quick build that would be really helpful and nice! Thanks in advance to any one that helps.
Edit: I'm dumb, just saw all the pc build threads and all my bad.
Also what I have so far-http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2jZIO
Still working on it
hookymaybe if TF2 keeps falling, Valve will make TF3!
...yeah, that won't happen. :(
Then lets keep tf2 from falling and keep going strong.
Names look like they are being changed as we speak thank goodness
