I remember playing with you back when a certain person ran the RGL discord pugs, you've always been a fun person to play against, squeaky voice aside.
As someone who has been involved in the production and casting side of things, it was always interesting when you popped up in casted matches, albeit that wasn't very often.
Some of my favorite memes and gifs from this game are because of you.
Good luck with Vet school, it's an exciting field and I'm sure you'll do well.
P.S.
You've been one of my favorite regulars on this forum, you haven't even popped up in mod discussions.
ragdolls go nyoom
Wall of text, you've been warned.
I haven't been involved in producing casts outside of an occasional lan due to life and burnout. But the occasional UGC casts I got to do were some of my favorites, because it was a break from the norm, it was a break from having to figure out which matches RGL was gonna cover, or having to deal with the shenanigans of invite players being late to a casted match. With UGC, it was easy, hell most of the time it was literally just Brock asking me if I wanted to produce a match or me being bored out of my mind. But at the same time, casting Ultiduo was chill as fuck, not having to track 12 different players simultaneously, or 18 if highlander(yes that's even including cheat feed). Despite it's decline at the end of the day UGC ran seasons of smaller size formats that don't normally get attention outside of the occasional cup. It always felt more chill than RGL.
The pressure was always there though to focus on RGL, whether told to or not because that's where all the top players were playing.
Don't get me wrong, I know UGC has a bunch of issues it needs to resolve, I still laugh occasionally about Ramen Gate*See edit. Hopefully this break can resolve most of this stuff and they come back. As a producer it was always nice to know I had casting options that were more laid back.
*editing to add that Ramen gate was not the tf2 side of things, still funny.
hannahAlso Philly is cool but can we pls have a lan somewhere else? Have been to the past 5 NA lans and they were ALL in Philly
That’s not true, one was in oaks…. Which is 45 minutes outside Philly
We locked the previous thread for a reason, next person to restart this thread gets perma’d.
We’re ok with political discussion, but we will not tolerate actively spreading misinformation, conspiracy theories, hate speech, or threats, or telling people to kill themselves.
This is y’all’s only warning.
Wasn’t able to be there in person this but shout out to the stream production crew, and shoutout to the nodeCG community for finding a fix for the overlay issues.
Though in recent months we hadn’t really talked(due to reasons I’d rather not discuss here), Lain was one of the first people I met in this community. She was always a joy to play matches with and to just chat with in general. I’m going to miss her.

+Working to make the stream graphics better this time
We already have the perfect game mode, robot destruction.
Shout out to my broadcast homies, Connie, yytrium, slideshott, rogue, Mike Lowrie, and ethn. The broadcast was amazing this year and I hope to have more overlays and things like that for next lan.
Shout out to lou for the ducks as always.
Shout out to TheFragile for running not just the tf2 tournament but pretty much every tournament there.
Shout out to the speedrunning crew.
Shout out to the neck breakers(even though they probably aren't on this site)
Shout out to this lans version of the landemic, given that it's already been discussed in this thread.
Shout out to septa and amtrak for making it possible for me to get to lan without taking my car up.
Shout out to all the volunteers and staff members of RGB lan that I didn't mention.
Shout out to everyone at the lan as a whole, especially for raising over $10,000, half of that before the lan even started.
and finally, shout out to esports.
See you all next lan
Gonna be bringing a patch or two from my department if there's anyone who wants to do a patch swap at lan. Also gonna have all my team patches sewn onto my jobshirt for lan. Also my 3ds for street pass.
In the words of Spongebob Squarepants
"well good luck with that"
I'd be down, pikmin is fun, and I'd love to see this game's version of high skill mechanics.
