Ok so, I am NOT a senior staff member within FTC, but as one of the PR staff I feel inclined to say something. This is by no means an "official statement" or anything, as i have yet to hear from snove, but this is the way I see things.
I wasn't aware of the scamming history of many of the senior staff members of FTC. After seeing the evidence before me, I agree that this looks pretty dodgy right now. In saying that however, there is an option to donate DIRECTLY to childsplay.org during the stream, cutting out FTC as a middleman. So If you have any concerns about the legitimacy of the event then by no means let that discourage you donating to a worthy cause.
Many MANY people have put countless hours into organising this event and it would be a shame to see all of that wasted by the mere histories of certain staff members. Regardless of whether the item donation was meant to be a scam or not, this stream is a great opportunity to raise money for people who need it, and watch some video games in the process.
Thank you.
Edit #1 - With a number of staff and guests now refuses to participate in the event and STILL no response from snoven i can as good as confirm that if FTC does go on, it will be atleast 12 hours shorter.
