radiumTwiggyTwilitlordWhat the fuck is your problem? You sound like you'd rather have had them drop TF2 altogether than have invite without LAN.This is a totally legit standpoint.
Looking at the ridiculous annoucement by Ipkane (dont make me regret this lol) he poses as the saviour of TF2 when all he did was fuck you over and have you say thanks to him.
I mean i understand you guys this is the only viable competition you know for TF2 in NA but if in europe we had to rely on shit like ESL to get the job done game would be dead for a long time already.
In France, we even have a LAN circuit with 2 to 3 regular events. Without a paid league. Because some LANs still want us to fill up slots at their events.
I mean don't tell me in the states there aren't more things like gaming festivals or LAN events similar to GXL. The organisers of said events want to be filled up as much as possible. Sometimes that's all they ask. Attendance.
Stop praising ESEA and start helping fragile, idk
Did he really fuck us over?
Think like a businessman for a second. He could have looked at the numbers and just removed the tf2 division just like a candy store removes a less popular (but unique) brand of chocolate. He's in it to make a profit - and he had enough financial incentive to make the cut altogether.
I'm not a fan of the guy, but it does take a little bit of grace to back away from the knife in the business world. This kind of stuff is 95% of the time NOT about feelings but about finances.
If you remove ESEA, what does the NA tf2 scene turn into? I could see a lot of the "established" people here hanging it up and going elsewhere (or just stopping video games altogether).
You're perfectly right indeed.
I was saying that because on TFTV TF2 isn't a business, and in EU TF2 isn't one either.
Also, no one really quits TF2 8)
@downpour : what do you mean? If there's tons of LAN it still means there's room for 24-120 people more for TF2. Hell there's even flight simulations players that went to GA 2015
chief-Johny_16_But is TF2 going to come back and kill us and our family?MR_SLINbut....tf2 is dead...
IT'S ALIVEEE
Show ContentTF2 = The Frankenstein 2
it did already look at how many hours you played it :D
Foxwhy did oplaid link that ahk script for automatically making new steam accounts :<
Because people who read dailydot are not the ones that are prone to cheating D:
The items that pose the most problems are also very easy to identify and their problems are so obvious fixes are'nt hard at all to find for game designers
we saw it when we did valve's game showmatches it was blatant

Ok maybe this has been answered before so feel free to bash me.
Is the total prize pool for TF2 coming only from the TF2 players subscribtions? Or is it funded by CS players as well?
If it's not, why not have ourselves our paid league on our own and then decide if and how we want to have LAN finals?
AdmirableToday was a good day. Good night brethren 8)
I thought you were focusing on your future career.
Got new plans? 8)
Also not surprised at all, TF2 is the only counter to Overwatch valve has B)
This is gonna be a whole new era for TF2.
Not only because of finally getting valve support, but for the very changes this will bring to the game (rules, items, $$$)
Just imagine in 10 years you'll say "i was there before this game was even popular in esports" while watching a dreamhack like finals D:
supreme commander forged alliance (on faforever.com)
or a duel FPS, or another good RTS (probably not SC2 because it's for dummies)
Wolfenstein ET was the shit tho
The map is still over 100 MB, and there's still plenty of roofs/props/architecture that are no clipped that we can't stand on. I understand you want to make it pretty, but this bugs me a bit..
I think the last changes will be good also.
give him a flower shirt and he's like Admirable =)
GetawhaleToodlesI agree with what Konr said, especially the comparison to Pledge. What I sometimes feel is lacking is tempo. You'll talk about something that happend on mid while teams are gearing up to push last.
I also find that when you are describing or analysing something you get to caught up in formulating the words that you miss things that are happening. Just now during esea lan you missed a medic drop, due to this. You should imo give more room to your co-caster as well and not just for the in-depth analysis part.
These are fair points. I need to let go of points that I want to make after a certain period of time passes.
Strangely that's what i like about your style :D
TF2 is so fast paced that keeping up with all the action as a caster is difficult, and sometimes not even needed as the viewers can still view what's happening and understand it despite you talking about something else. And then you bring a whole lot of intel on top of the game instead of just repeating what has happened =)
it's decent and nice to see you still implementing features tsc :)
i'm not subject to motion sickness, though i don't think it improved my viewing quality. I mean, all your cameramen already do the perfect switches to not miss on any action and this is incredible enough for me
