slopawmanaslopawHave you tried watching rayshud hud tutorial? He might have some answers to your problem.Please don't advocate asking HUD makers without a very good reason. Their time is limited, and I know that's definitely true with rays. He's already popular enough with people asking him questions on his own thread, his stream and Steam.
Or you could just add him, or send him a message. Or any other hud expert really
Honestly the best way is indeed posting on these forums. That way someone who feels like tackling it can give an answer best to their ability.
I didn't mean like forcing rays to respond, sorry if it sounded like it. I just know rays is a really nice person, that'd probably help if he had the time.
The issue is that Rays is already known as "the HUD guy" - his friends list is full, he gets at least two questions every stream (usually things that were answered the day before at that), and is doing the videos because there isn't a proper exhaustive resource for hud creation. He doesn't like to admit it, but I know that he doesn't like being known just as "the HUD guy". Don't take advantage of his niceness as an excuse for asking hud questions on stream and interrupting game time.
The forums have dozens of people with hudmaking experience who can answer your questions reasonably fast without having to bother someone whose hudmaking fame has turned them into a semi-unwilling constant resource.
ViperStrikerI decided to install the HUD using the installer by Tree since editing the HUD's core files itself was getting difficult, and now every time I load up TF2, it defaults to the default HUD, even though RaysHUD is installed. Can anyone tell me what I might've done wrong and how to fix this?
Make sure the filepath is correct? You may not have it directed to your custom folder.

Oh man you know what I totally noticed this in the beta and thought nothing of it, I suppose that makes sense since it's source engine. 5-second version: wallrunning gives you a speed boost, you can bunnyhop it to extend the boost a bit. Really useful for those jumps that are just too long/far away from the wall, plus you can still chain your double jumps and I'm pretty sure that those don't lose much speed, if any.

facesChange airblast to function similar to rocket knockback. Currently if I airblast a scout in the face he will lift off the ground. A rocket will lift a scout off the ground only if I shoot his feet. If a scout is firmly planted on the ground and I airblast him in the face it should have no effect, just as all other knockbacks work. If a scout's already in the air and I airblast him in the face he should get knocked straight back. Essentially airblast should require a lot more accuracy to get the desired knockback effect. And of course keep the projectile reflection.

Tbh the only reason airblast is stupid is lack of air control, if air control after airblast was implemented in the physics it would be a whole lot less irritating
Trying to compare the powerjack and the escape plan is really an apples vs... well ok maybe not oranges but definitely at least like pears or something.
An escape plan solly at full speed goes faster than a powerjack pyro. Yes, the pyro can go faster at other speeds, but then the soldier has an advantage that the pyro doesn't have - he probably has enough health to rocket jump and increase his mobility both vertically and horizontally. Notably, the pyro can never improve his vertical mobility, and RJing is still way, way faster than escape plan. Pyro can never have the mobility that soldier provides, you're comparing two unlocks but not looking at the class as a whole.
Besides why are you complaining about an honestly pretty well balanced weapon like the powerjack when you could spend more time worrying about the rest of the valid points in your post because I'll admit I consciously abuse the fuck out of everything at my disposal on the class and I can tell you there's a lot wrong with it
Like the title says, I'm looking to buy a monitor to use as a secondary and I figured I would see if anyone's in the Kansas City area that has one they don't use and would sell to me before I looked around or bought new. My primary is 24in 1080p so that would be ideal but I would want at least something around 18in 720p. Budget's probably around 150-200 max.
I'm in Olathe, I could definitely make anywhere in the metro or Lawrence on short notice, I maybe could go out as far as Topeka on a day off and I could justify a trip to Manhattan (KS) to visit friends at KSU but that'd have to wait like a month, I was just out there.
