Why is this still a thing?
Can't we just let this die and move on?
noseryea that's all well and good, but what about
-video-
Even though you're kidding I might as well say that a "pretty" intro and then a bunch of trash clips unedited frags isn't something I would approve.
Pretty sure the other mods would agree on this but I wont speak for anyone else and leave it at this.
To somewhat clarify what I usually look at when it comes to quality standards for a submitted video is the noticeable effort put into actually editing the video.
Things that are pretty much an insta no in a video:
-Damage numbers
-Hud
-Fps config tier quality
Don't even bother with these.^
What matters is the editing and not how sick the frags are.
Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVcxwGTYmkw
Jukebox is an insane player but the video is pretty much just pov frags.
Doesn't exactly scream editing effort does it?
No matter how amazing the plays are, the damage numbers, hud and lack of any editing is a no no.
Example of what is a yes pls: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qn8a08sS5qo
Note that not all of these things are essential for a video to be approved but are rather things that make a good frag movie.
-Good and clean colour editing and filtering.
-Caster commentary.
-Audio sync.
-No damage numbers, hud, fps config.
-Demo Smoothing.
-Not only 1st person POV's of consecutive frags.
Use of STV's for 3rd person parts etc. are never wrong.
It's not essential ofcourse but it definitely makes videos look better when you have some variation.
These aren't rules written in stone or anything. Just the guidelines I consider reasonable.
Can you use basic english so us uncultured swines can understand?
Well from looking at your drawing it looks like you are going too fast and high.
But I'm far from good at sticky jumping (or even rocket jumping) myself so I'm probably wrong.
Anyway, try aiming slightly higher and make sure you aren't too far ahead of your sticky when it dets.
I.E press mouse 2 (or w.e you use) when you can still see the sticky on the 3rd jump since you're probably going fast as shit at this point.
I don't know this is just what it seems like the pros are doing in jump movies.
Another thing you could probably do is to go on a server with stv and watch your jumps in 3rd person.
If possible.
I love it.
Would it be possible to get a feature supporting filtering and selecting multiple game modes when browsing for videos?
Also an expandable most viewed list or just an archive where you can sort all videos, and not just the top 5-10 ish ones, would be much appreciated.
It's what happens when steamcommunity reconnects after losing connection.
I don't know why it does what it does or how to fix it but yeah. Seems like that is your problem. Happens to a lot of people so at least you're not alone about it.
I hope Sweden will win because I'm Swedish so I like football by default.
Fuck football.
Playing vs Bots for a week will make you a better sniper than sniper mge would in a year of playtime.
But yeah as said above, get out of the comfort zone and play lots of pubs.
Only thing I can really add is to play scrims / lobbies / pickups once in a while as well to make sure you adapt what you improve on to a competitive game mode and not only pubs.
Edit: Also don't jump cancel 24/7 to avoid getting counter sniped or headshot.
Avoid it and instead practice to become a better counter sniper yourself.
If you use your server for pretty much only comp I suggest just running TFTrue.
But it's personal preference really. Whatever you feel runs smoothly and does what you want it to.
