Necroing this thread now that more people may have had the chance to try out the game during the free weekend. Today Overkill announced a new heist DLC, the Big Bank Heist, as well as 3 other heists later this year. Between the claims of this new heist being bigger than First World Bank and the confirmation of old Hoxton returning, I'm hype as fuck. The trailer for the new heist can be found here:

I never experienced anything like the glitch with the lights or the stuck door while playing the leaked version. The story isn't great, but it's not bad. I was actually impressed that they managed to not make the characters cringey. I agree everything about the cars/driving is lackluster, but it's kind of silly that some people's definition of a bad game nowadays = "no impact decal showed up on this wall when I crashed into it and also my tires don't interact people's bodies or fucking stairs"

People made up their mind about this game before it was even leaked. The people who hated it (i.e. the graphics "debacle") will exaggerate the flaws of the game. The people who were overhyped will probably be let down. It seems to me that a lot of people expected Ubisoft to reinvent the wheel. They deserve to be let down.

Enjoyable game. Good amount of stuff to do on the side, which usually makes or breaks an open world game for me. I agree the driving and vehicle physics are kinda bad, and the gunplay is a bit wonky, but not to the point of unplayability. Some people will probably be disappointed though.
