I think I'm going to slow down as far as running the newbie mixes.
If anyone wants to take over let me know I can train you and give you permissions.
This show keeps looking bigger and bigger it's amazing. At some point this is going to become the biggest show of all time (either in #of people watching/downloading, or budget).
I usually just start calling really low damage numbers when situations get tense.
I use this:

And this:

I highly recommend them.
CHE_didnt futurama do this already
That was basically the iPhone. I think this is a little bigger than that.
It's not a huge deal, we are gonna run on Saturday at 9EST.
Looking forward to playing these with you hooky :)
It's a good idea but I think this will raise the barrier to entry in the competitive scene. Playing on badlands and granary for new players is good because they are popular and default.
I honestly wouldn't mind seeing this implemented, but I just want to raise the point that this would just be 1 more obstacle between comp players and people who want to be comp players.
One of the coolest mechanics I saw Thief use in that video was standing on your own stickies while spamming stickies. This isn't possible with a regular sticky launcher but it seems to be one of the only up sides to using the SR.
It still makes your movement way slower.
I would be interested to see if we can get a Newbie Mix Coaches/Mentoring thing going on. I have a list of a lot of coaches (I think 100-150) and many of them mentor or have even come to me to see if I had anyone to mentor.
Also, I think newbie mixes would be a good place for people to see if they can mentor or not?
Honestly, a round robin season just for invite would be WAY more enjoyable than what we currently have.
1) Less of the same matches gives us the maximum diversity during the season.
2) This also makes the LAN semis and finals less of the same stuff we've seen all season potentially.
3) More fair, and potentially more accurate seedings? Don't round robins use matrices to seed at the end? I thought that was better than swiss elimination by far.
Really good FPS mechanics for his number of hours. I think he can easily hang mid open as roamer.
Strongly recommend.
Cool kids
ApexI think this is the biggest mix ever
This isn't even close, we've filled up 11 concurrent mixes before and we can do more but I need MORE COACHES.
Also, can I just say thank you so much to the TF2 community because I just checked up on 8 concurrent newbie mixes and all 8 of them had coaches from Open to the very top of Invite (literally brad v b4nny) and they were all engaged with new 6v6 players in a way I could only hope happened more often.
Thank you TF2 community for making newbie mixes actually work :)
EDIT: Somehow find your way into this group if you wanna be a coach: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/newbiemixcoaches
