Well, I think that of the people who will look at them, a lot would be receptive to competitive TF2 since they like the game enough to want to get better.
Can we use these to teach new players? Maybe a stickied post on general that lists the competitively minded ones.
Does anyone have any ideas of how to use steam guides? I think they can definitely help us, especially if we make the most popular one how to get into competitive tf2.
This season we'll see change in the EU game. They are allowing the weapon unlocks that we play with in ESEA (at least the most popular ones) so I think we'll see their strategies and tendencies to more closely mirror ours'.
bscIf the coach req is 1 season in open then I doubt they understand how to push or at least be able to teach it
Off classing in general shouldn't be permitted
We discourage off classing en masse, but the coaches can control that. Also, most people I've met who have played one season and want to coach are people who have been getting mentored, do demo review, and play a lot of TF2 so they are pretty qualified to coach people who are *brand* new to 6s. It's not too complicated to teach people how to rollout or comm.
Pushing into heavy+pyro is difficult IMO, but it's not like they aren't going to see that in any league they play in, so I don't see the problem with using it in a newbie mix.

Only need 1 full season of ESEA to coach. All it is is a PUG where you also answer questions newbies have for you. I've met a lot of people that think they can't coach but are actually good at it. Just give it a shot and see how it goes.
I think it should be on the server list. Pubbing on a map will definitely help people learn the map features.

RedTerror's DM server is usually like half full. There are a ton of MGE servers out there, just not in tf.tv's server list. I'd go into your server browser and look for any mge server (just sort by map) that has ping >100 for you. I found 3 MGE servers that way that aren't on this website's list.
