ProSkeezI would not buy a 27" 1080p if I were you, it'd look pretty bad. I'd at least try for 1440p
I find its down to preference in my opinion. I bought a Zowie XL2720 recently and I find it a lot better with the slightly stretched look to it with the larger display still at 1920 x 1080, then again this has a really decent panel so i'm probably just fortunate.

Zowie mice are pretty top notch anyway so you're probably best sticking with the brand unless you're after flashy lights or something. If you're willing to experiment the ZA series is ambidextrous but more suited to a palm grip with a higher back. I'm personally saving up for a EC2-A since i tried an EC1-A for a few months but found it a bit too large for my liking.
