Competitive community is huge, efficient and well-known from the TF2 players. But what about the jump community ?

For 6 months, the Jump Academy has striven to raise a large community of jumpers from all around the world in order to rebuild the forgotten empire of jump. Nowadays, jumping isn't what it used to be, most of jumpers don´t belong to a united entity, although the possibilites in game has become almost limitless.

Today, I am proud to introduce you to our brand new movie, Zero to Hero, in collab with the incredible SFM movie makers Callegos Yavolitak, the Winglet & MrEtmer; a 5-minute story of what jumping could become thanks to our modest project.

Jump Academy is proud to introduce you a brand new Speedrun on June 7th featuring famous jumpers from all around the world.

What is it ?

We're planning 6 races as soldier and demoman (3 of each class), all jump levels will be represented (beginner/advanced/expert). Anyone can take part in it, and the first one who reaches the last jump wins the race.

The main aim of this event is to promote the Jump community and having some fun with some TF2 "celebrities". Only 20 rooms are available for each race so make sure you ensign today!

How can I sign up ?

Leave a comment in the runners list thread and wait for our recruiter to contact you. You'll have to pass a test in order to be in the good category (you can sign up in a soldier and a demoman race).

If you don't feel being part of the runners but still want to follow the event, it will probably be streamed by eXtv (to be confirmed).

Who are you ?

Jump Academy is a non-profit making project based on cooperation. It encourages young jumpers to improve their skills with personal teachers, who will possibly be remunerated (in TF2 items).

Dealing with BuschmasterACR's great screenshot, I've met mosspi on TF2, his jump is OK and he already helped many jumpers on our servers. If this teacher doesn't seem legit to you, pick another.
We decided since the project is new to accept any teacher for the moment, before the website is online. This decision is questionable but that's mine.

In general, I really think you should grow up a little guys. Judging a guy on his age and his abilities to express himself on one post is just stupid. We aim to welcome anyone, pros and noobs, kids or older people, I don't mind, as long as they are respectful and learn/teach something.
Our class system will make students choose classes they are interested in, teachers will be free to accept or decline the class demand. If a teacher doesn't want to get kids as students, that's his choice, we respect that.

If you're not interested, pass through and let it go, thank you.

EDIT : The temporary teaching system has been reviewed and improved, no random teachers accepted.

yankee : For the moment all the teachers provide classes for free. Once the website is online, it will be the feedback of their students which will determine what they can ask as a reward (TF2 item).

This project isn't made for profits but to encourage the jump community, and everything is thought so that people can't use the class system to make profits.

You're an average soldier but you can't make a decent jump ? Come to our academy and learn jump from our numerous teachers! (including the best jumpers of the world, who took part in many jump movies)
