Hunter_2_0Sorry I'm experimenting with shitposts
You just made my day
not that I want any more posts like this
Muselk is just speaking his mind and while I disagree I do understand that tf2 does need a "casual" aspect.
Comp is fun but what about something "relaxing? A place where you can play tf2 and not worry about being bad. Where all the new players go to learn about the game before they get smashed by people like you?
TF2 needs the casual aspect, and an actual casual aspect, not what valve calls "casual". It is one of the things that sets us apart from every other fps and brings in the majority of our playerbase.
epilove, life, rainbows, magic and everything happy
Thanks man :)
fahrenheight- Clean font (I like omphud for this)
Do you mean easy to read fonts or fonts that have minimal pixelation?
flatline-information in corners
Would you have a problem with the name of the map/timeleft/whatever in the corner on the scoreboard?
I am in the process of making a hud and I would like to know what makes a hud a good hud. I am assuming that it is a mix of preference, colour schemes and information in the right places but I don't have much experience with this and I would like some tips.
And if you have some tips on colour schemes please inform me ;;;;;))))))
I am pretty happy with valve taking away gambling but maybe it is better for people to experience things like this in a virtual economy that does not mean much and realise that it is a bad thing so they don't try it with something that matters, such as gambling away their house.
That said it could create gambling addictions which is a bad idea. I don't really know much about this stuff.
Which files do I edit to edit the casual panel that I go to if I want to select my gamemode and start searching for a game?
epiThe photoshop plugin doesn't work for you because it uses native code compiled for Windows. Unfortunately, vtflib is pretty entangled in the Windows API, so it's not trivial to port to OS X. Someone has ported it to linux, so I'll attempt to throw a web converter together over the next few days. If I get it done in a reasonable amount of time I'll post it here. For the moment, though, it appears that you are stuck with virtualbox, or you could try getting the command line version working under wine.
Thanks man
Hey guys, do you have any idea on how to convert a .jpg image to a .vtf to use for a hud background on mac? I don't have access to a windows computer and have tried using wine and winebottler to use VFTEdit but it comes up with a fatal error when I import my image and I could not get the photoshop extension working. Do you guys know any other programs I can use or should I just create a virtualbox and do it that way? I have a copy of windows on my computer from the windows insider program and I know how to set up the virtualbox but I would prefer if I don't have to edit my files in a virtualbox all the time.
HypnotizeProbably not the best thread to ask this but, since tf_competitive_mode 1 is not working anymore for me is there a way to create a local sever and run the comp mode so i can edit my mm hud?
spawn a bunch of bots, type mp_tournament 1 into the console and join spectator.
When I was screwing around with my scoreboard I found the bit that lets you display the gamemode on the scoreboard but now it is broken, both mine and on valves, after I enabled it.
It just displays [unknown] on the scoreboard
Very well thought out, especially with a mix of clickbait and anti-valve title with very useful information.
Seriously, this might just save my tf2 comp experience and my computer.
cl_crosshair_file default
It's massive though so you will have to turn the size all the way down and for me it is slightly gray and translucent compared to the stock crosshair with the shotgun.
ew overwatch
Wow from the screenshots this looks excellent, my only concern is that the buff/hurt animations may be too distracting. 10/10 apart from that.
I wish I could make huds like this.
