Are you running anything that would interfere with the kernel? Do you have a realtime AV installed? What kinds of overlays do you have enabled, e.g. mumble, fraps, etc? Have you tried deleting (after backing up) your config and starting from scratch with single-threaded and otherwise default graphics settings?
