#4 Space Ghost's Coffee lft Scout in Recruitment (looking for team)

Wrap Assassin king. Would consistently pull ludicrous damage on Scout, his pick classes would usually do big damage or get good frags. His Sniper must be the most demoralizing thing to push into and he can singlehandedly shut down pushes with a good sightline.

My only two complaints are that he (for some reason) barely ever offclassed to Engineer on last, and he did not like playing near combo on my team.

Highly recommended. He should mesh well with mid or high IM teams on flank Scout. Basically a free pass through Viaduct if you put him on Sniper. Warning though, Highlander player.

#19 viper lft s25 in Recruitment (looking for team)

A few people asked me how bad it was playing on a team with the famous tilter VIPERSTRIKER2011, and I would always respond, he really isn't that bad. Sure he would tilt every once in a while, but I felt like it was for justified reasons like people not listening or teammates not showing up. But when he wasn't pulling good numbers, instead of blaming us he'd remain calm and say "yeah I didn't do too hot on that one" and that was it. The fact he was a leader to a low-IM tells about his patience and devotion to playing the video game and improving. I've had far worse teammates, and he was a pleasant surprise.

However, his Soldier was not leaving me in awe. Maybe a season of low-IM gave him tons of insight, and with a fresh start on a new team he'll do stuff again, but to put it politely, his Roamer left much to be desired. His pocket wasn't that bad but I didn't see a lot of it.

Cool guy, good teammate, but I'm not convinced he's an IM Soldier.

#23 Capnfapn lft s24 mid esea IM scout in Recruitment (looking for team)
capnnofapni agree that i did not call as often as i should and had trouble playing heals but im very confused about why you would say I generally top death. I'm not going to go through all of the logs from scrims but at least in matches there was only one where I died more than anyone else on the team.

You're right, I'm removing that comment from my post

He consistently put up good numbers in matches without being a heal vacuum. Pretty good pocket boy.

#20 Capnfapn lft s24 mid esea IM scout in Recruitment (looking for team)

I feel like he plays way too deep in the pug mentality. He really didn't play heals, seldom spoke except to call out kills or his death. In the three-or-so week I played with him I never saw him in a single Uber because he was never by our Medic, or dead. He was open to criticism and would make adjustments, so maybe he'd do better on a team with a strong maincaller, but most days it felt like he'd come to matches/scrims, say maybe ten things mid-game, then disconnect at the end.

He'd do fine on a team as flank Scout given his allergy of the heal beam and having decent enough DM. Good for an Open no doubt, or another low-IM team, but until he talks more or adjusts his playstyle I think people will find him to be a difficult teammate.

That being said he's great in Mumble. Super chill, and he was one of least obnoxious people I've played with.

#31 What are your favorite scripts? in TF2 General Discussion

bind RIGHTARROW "demo_timescale 2"
bind LEFTARROW "demo_timescale 0.5"
bind UPARROW "demo_timescale 1"
bind DOWNARROW demo_togglepause

Super minor, but it saves a few headaches to be able to control demo speed without using the awful UI.

#4 Yip LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)

He made it to Open playoffs a few times on Demo, and IM playoffs on Med (though he got carried by ether's gang), and however many seasons becoming a meme in HL, all the while on a garbage PC. I imagine he'll be a stronger player on a good PC, plus he's pretty chill in Mumble. Never heard him tilt. Pick him up for his experience, stay with him because you will forever be known as "that one team with Yipyapper."

EDIT:

Yes he has the DM and jumps of a young god, plus his calls are the right mix of talking a lot so you know exactly what to do without being an endless stream of information. The reason he's stuck out in my mind though is his incredible passion and understanding of the game, combined with a ton of patience and levelheadedness. He mentored my open team in S21 when we were a bunch of nobodies. Shiki did a lot of demo reviews, pep talks, showing us the ropes, and ways to judge ourselves, some games he even sat in our Mumble and watched the STV and coached us at halftime through some dreary matchups, and did this all while winning 3rd in IM.

Honestly he's one of my favorite people on Steam and I'm glad to see his return to TF2. Beware, though, he talks about anime a lot and will shower conversations with low-grade memes and requests to MGE.
