ConcordiaHey, does people who currently semi-competitive gamer from halfway across US may join?
If you are actually from Indonesia (In which case I believe you mean halfway across the world) you may run into ping issues, and perhaps a bit of a language barrier. However if you are willing to wake up fairly early (8-11 ish AM depending on your timezone) on Saturdays and join mumble I doubt anyone would stop you.

edit: left his team midseason last season the night before a match (and they also had a match the next day) for an offer to play on a different team essentially killing the team (even though the team he joined was done with their matches for the week and he easily could have waited)

You guys have UGC, free community league and you had CEVO, just the big difference was a 4 or 5 years ago when ESL was still going for TF2, The Euros decided to support the free community league whilst the Americans decided to support the Pay to Play ESEA League.
Which is best for the scene? I'll leave that for you to decide, but I kind of agree with Enigma's assessment, ESEA EU could be on par with the North American one, I even pumped £100 of my own money to get it going but the whole bitcoin fiasco left a sour taste in my mouth. You can say what you like about ETF2L but they're not money grabbing criminals.

Not that I discourage you from LFT for experience if you are confident in your capabilities and have reviewed enough w/ higher tier players to be assured you're ready for Open, but w/ your seeming minimal experience it appears possible you're rushing things.
