#38 what makes you angry in Off Topic
Nub_DanishAir_when someone asks you to pick them up something at the store but don't specify what they want exactly then get mad when you get the wrong thingWhen I've lived with someone for years and I ask them to get milk at the store, but don't specify the exact % fat of milk I want and they get me the wrong one. Like do you even know me?

this just reaffirms you're the worst person alive

#5 How do I improve my movement in TF2 General Discussion

jump maps that focus on fundamentals are the fastest way, try to get really fast at maps that focus on wall jumps/pogos/double syncs, other stuff isn't important but improving at all kinds of jumps will give you better knowledge of movement in general. summer/bomb/blue side of annex are all good maps to try and get really fast at because they largely focus on mechanics you use in game, airstrafing/pogo/wall/syncs/speedshots

abuse jumping off walls, you typically want to jump directly to/from places and minimize the time you spend walking with your feet. unless you're bombing an enemy player you NEVER want to take fall damage from jumping. if you're just rolling out or trying to catch up to your team, or trying to escape from an enemy you want to avoid taking fall damage at all times. gunboats let you jump a LOT so you should abuse them, fall damage will reduce the number of jumps you can do, and if you're gaining enough height to take fall damage you're not going fast enough most of the time. obviously if you're bombing the enemy team you are gonna go higher and you will take fall damage, but the fall damage will be way less than what you'd have taken from the other teams scouts by going lower

a HUGE thing is getting to the point where airstrafing is just automatic, there are no good tf2 players that don't just automatically airstrafe to control themselves in the air at all times. if i get knocked up in the air i immediately start airstrafing to try and dictate my landing and i don't even think about it, just automatic. simply grinding jump maps and practicing will get you to that point, surf helps with that too but there aren't good surf servers in tf2 anymore

as far as ground movement goes, mashing a/d even on soldier helps you dodge hitscan, good scouts are pretty much gonna have 100% accuracy against you while you're on the ground but it can be the difference between taking 60 from a shot and taking like 30, opposed to just walking in a straight line or doing long pattern strafes. as a general rule you want to avoid playing ammomod in actual games and engage enemies primarily by jumping, obviously there are exceptions like in a super tight hallway or while you're capping a point

#69 What do you wish you had realized/learned sooner? in TF2 General Discussion
SevenMost people in competitive tf2 (especially snipers) who claim that they heard you around a corner solely by the sound of your footsteps are cheating. Most people just don't hear that shit through other ingame sounds and mumble comms. Some do but most don't.

this comes from tf2 player #150000 that plays without sound and music blaring
