iodinealfaWhat I really respect is Ceb's faith in his team to play whatever they're comfortable with. For me, this translates well to my play-style in TF2 b/c I like going offclasses 24/7 and if my teammates are ok with me doing whatever I want then I can actually unleash.

Need more leaders like Ceb across all videogames honestly.

No they don't. Strategic games, or games requiring some iota of strategy will not be played at the highest level if the leader of the team doesn't instill tactics and discipline within.

Ex: In cs go, karrigan started off great with his loose style of leadership, but then lost control of his team, due to him letting them do whatever they wanted. Astralis on the other hand, clearly have a strategic and tactical regimen, which translates to their historic tournament run.

Did you actually watch the movie, Ceb & the coach literally ask Topson and Ana what do THEY want to play this game and go for it because no matter what it is it will work. Yes NO SHIT there's strategy going in at the top level, but you cannot compare CSGO with dota. CSGO literally has a small timer each round which requires you to do set plays to beat it, dota has unlimited time and is played around the picks in the game. I compared it to TF2 because an offclass can (on a smaller scale) be the random factor that makes or breaks a game, and we also have 30 min of time which is plenty for doing plays other than set strategies, unlike CSGO where working an offclass to break a stalemate wouldn't work with their timer.

You can argue me all you want on this but I've seen teams in this game that fucking hate allowing their players to be creative with SOME plays and suffer for it. Sticking to one thing and thing only will never win you games at top level, you must adapt your own playstyle no matter what. In terms of leadership, I led eLevate for almost 2 years and we got top 3 consistently throughout all the seasons, and I let my players do random crazy shit all the time because I trusted them that they knew what they were doing. Yes you must have structure but you must also let your players adapt themselves to the game if the game isn't going well for them or they have an idea how to win better.

#1 True Sight : The International 2018 Finals in Esports

Didn't see this posted anywhere, I think this is a must watch for anyone who loves competitive games (especially dota). As someone who was there for the event I can say this movie does the finals justice with the insane shit OG had to go through to win the entire thing. The mental fortitude, thinking and mind fucking your opponent that goes into this game at top level is actually nuts. Also a really good motivational video, Topson was a pubber half a year ago and now he is a multi-millionaire.

Much respect to N0tail and Ceb honestly. Also not only they had one of the most insane runs where they almost failed to qualify for the event, they ended the trend of West and China winning events each other year, having the West finally win 2 events in a row.
