Hello
Our team, former Point n Click, is looking for backup videogamers that are good enough to play this game at an open level but don't have the time to commit as starters.
Roster:
club - Roamer
Patrol - Pocket
StaleWaffle - Demolitions Expert
Fred Astaire - Medic
CheesyMacgyver - Scout
alfunkso - Scout
Current Backups:
earshot - Scout
hooky - Scout/Medic (unless someone picks up this outstanding young man as starter)
What we basically need are players with relatively good DM available to fill in for matches on wednesdays/thursdays/sundays that for any reason our starters won't make and that don't mind going over maps to discuss strats before playing on them.
We offer fun, frequent ringing and late night conversations with stoned Patrol every now and then.
HazSwagalfunksoyou can connect more routers to your router. they're more expensive than switches but also faster.
How would you do that? As far as I can see routers are dsl in ethernet out. Mine only has one dsl in slot. I think I have a router lying around but I dont know how I would set that up.
you connect an ethernet cable between both routers and then setup the router without dsl connection to know that it can find the internets through the other router.

What?
Just buy a switch dude.
switches replicate every package they receive to every connected terminal, it's up to the terminal (the pc) to figure out what packages he should read and what packages he should discard, this adds up latency.
routers creates a network with every connected device and manages different local IPs for each one of them which allows them to redirect every package to the right terminal.

I've also tried them both, bought a switch then bought a router and router turned out to be faster.
don't 1v1 me lange, we have the same major

see what dota does to people?
badland last is one of the best lasts because it gives space to break stalemates without over commiting players for a pick. and the sight lines for sniper are decent, not too many but enought to make the med freak out a bit.
badland's mid is very DM heavy while process, snakewater and granary mids are more team coordinated mids where positioning, focus fire and coms are very important.
snakewater and granary last are slow because you can't push into them without commiting every player to it, so teams always take their time waiting for a pick to make sure that the push doesn't fail and lose every player in a failed push, which makes the game slow.
viaduct is OP for OP snipers, too many places where the LOS covers too much. coldfront had the same problem. you don't want to see a sniper 24/7 in a 6s game.
I personally like process 2nd over the badland's one, because the spire is close enough to the ground that medics and scouts can get to them without having to climb mount everest while still giving a height advantage to whoever is on top of them. also the entrances through flanks give enough space to make a flank push viable. both map's 2nds are pretty good anyway.
gullywash last is hard to push out from because the team that is in lobby can comfortably fight the other team without losing height advantage. also gullywash last is very very hard to push into if the defending team is running some prolander setting like heavy + engi + pyro.
the transition between granary second towards mid or last is infamous for being slow and stalematey.
other than the first 2 headshots on the scouts, he seems legit. it's just a player with jedi reflexes and a ridiculous ability to track scout's movement.
half the stream literally crying irl
get this stream in the list of Live Streams of this site please
edit: thanks
Mr_OwlRocko's Modern Life was probably my favorite show from 90's Nick, but this was also pretty great
that fucking small clown doll at 0:10 was my nightmare my whole childhood
what is wrong about gpit is that is not well suited for the 6s format, defending teams have to use at least one engi or heavy, and there's literally no issue in holding c with heavy + engi.
on viaduct, if one of your players is a good sniper then you force the other team to run sniper too or they get destroyed. and the map itself has just too much stupid asymmetric problems.
I'm terrible at scout and I find no difficulty in taking down a demo
