Moises is extremely dedicated to the game and has the skill to back up his immense drive to succeed with his teammates, I hope he gets the partners he deserves!
This is a beautiful project man. Would it be possible for the .ss or !log command to directly open this in-game?
JohhnyFromCaliCan someone explain the update to me. I’m not mapper is it a big deal or is it meh? Sounds like a big deal.
Previously, complex map logic that allowed for example custom game modes to exist, had to be coded within Hammer editor's visual controls, which was an old, terribly impractical hassle to get things done. Now, mappers can use a scripting language called Squirrel3 to get all those things done and much more, since it was announced that a lot more information about the game was accesible (and thus modifiable) through VScript code. This is a huge deal because making the process of making such changes easier and more accessible, opens the possibility for a lot more people to make their ideas a reality. You can check out Shounic's video about it, it might give you better insights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwEJUGwzm7U
yet another useless retiring thread
stop being offended in behalf of someone else
I managed to fix this here: https://github.com/maxijabase/updated-pause-plugin/releases/tag/v1.5.0
Please use and test as you wish, let me know of any issues.
beautiful video, congratulations
Are logs still broken? I'm trying to setup a server and I can't get them to work through SourceMod.
Fixed, it was a barely diagnosable issue on my end.
I don't think you're posting this in the right place, try the AlliedModders discord, the Source Engine discord, or the TF2Maps discord.
YeeHawYou can't be friends with everyone as an admin and if you can't handle that you shouldn't become one.
I've been an admin for longer than I've been a player in multiple faces of the TF2 scene, and I can absolutely confirm this. The truth is you're not on the same side as everyone else, and that's something you have to understand, but most importantly accept. You are on the other side, the one people sometimes see as an "enemy", or someone "annoying" and "fun" to hold grudge against, 99% of the time because everyone does it, not because there's a logical reason.
My advice is to learn to play and enjoy the game like any other player, do your admin stuff whenever you have to, whatever it is, and don't beta/chicken out when you need to take action against people you know they need to be taken action against. After all you're the one providing, running and maintaining a place for people to play quality mixes, so balance that shit out doing what you think it's best for your place, and your players.
I don't know you but I came across some people like you in these last 6-7 years of community management of mine based on what I've read. I've also been like you at some point, and I figured by myself it was just insecurities I brushed off with my personal growth. I think you basically need to do this:
saxophoneive known and played with u for like 3-4 years now and i know for a fact that if you just stop starting drama, put your head down and grind you would be able to shake off ur shitty reputation and seriously start to climb
ur not 12 anymore like u used to be, act your age or at least try to show improvement to ur attitude
You don't do it, you'll continue to have issues and be seen as a retard for the rest of eternity. Entirely your choice bud.
If you're hesitating enough to not just do it and make a thread about it instead, you'll probably come back in some time. I suggest you approach the subject as taking breaks from the game, and come back once you cooled down. Sometimes it's about building up heat until you stop, wait weeks/months and come back fresh. It's a never-ending cycle. You'll find speaking in terms of leaving is of little use.
