hooliHas it ever not been extended? serious
whether it's been extended or not is irrelevant
ive been saying this for a while, but we need to always be signing up assuming that there's not going to be an extension
we already dropped the ball last season, lets not drop it twice
there is literally NO reason whatsoever to wait around
bump
i really really want to play and i know registration is ending soonish so please hmu for a tryout
not really sure how i feel about this
i mean yeah sure, it costs less to play invite now, but there's also now less incentive to try and win it
i dont think the decrease in winnable funds is worth being able to sign up for less, honestly
HiipFireYou do realize that the only reason valve jumped so hard on supporting on dota 2 and csgo was because of the big grassroots scene(and then relatively big tournament organizers jumping on that before them) that it had previously right?
Except that CS and Dota weren't advertised and balanced to fuck and back worldwide as "wacky casual hat simulator shooters" by Valve. It likely wasn't as hard for their grassroots communities to take off because there was no negative stigma attached to the game and no major difference between the competitive and pub modes.
TF2 is not like this. It's been advertised and balanced around casual play for the last decade, and it definitely shows in the playerbase when people are more likely to vote up a "rate my pyro cosmetics loadout" thread on reddit than a sick med drop clip from an i61 match. It's going to be infinitely harder to do anything on our own especially with the game's ever dwindling numbers with each fuckup valve seems to make on a per update basis and the fact that the only people still playing the game are casual players who have no incentive towards supporting competitive because "they're all tryhards".
ZeRo5Graphical restrictions are necessary to some extent aswell
In what way?
Most of, if not all of the graphical restrictions forced by valve have been non beneficial and do more harm than good, honestly. Who cares if the game looks good when it runs too terribly for anyone to feasibly play? In addition to that, viewmodels being forced to either default or minmode is pretty aids too, especially when you consider that the only alternative to having a viewmodel obstructing your vision is a viewmodel that's off centered and doesn't line up with how, lets say, projectiles are drawn on the screen when you fire them. (rocket launcher).
I will say though, that while I'm not a fan of CSGO's graphical restrictions I can at least understand the enforcement of them because the game is actually able to be played with them on with little to no effect on performance. This is not the case in TF2, and if the dev team cares about its player-base as much as they'd like us to believe, they'd realize that they cannot expect us to meet an unreasonable standard.
anyone have a twitch link to dane's live execution?
sighppaleunI get the same thing with Iron Bomber vs. StockIron bomber is actually alot easier to hit because the pipes are more consistent in the air, compared to stock grenade launcher. Give it a look.
This. Iron bomber projectiles are technically cubes while stock grenade launcher projectiles are rectangular.
Not really much of a situation change however, after doing a WinMTR test I've obtained a better idea of what the problem is (I think).
Here's the pastebin.
I let it run for half an hour.
Basically one of my server hops constantly spikes to stupidly high numbers every few seconds.
This is the IP and line in question.
It's an IP related to my service provider from what I can gather, so I assume my best bet would be to contact them again and have them look into changing my routing, possibly (I'm not sure).
I'm not even completely sure if this could be causing my choke problems though, I'd like to at least know if I'm on the right track.
