I've had a bunch of precaching errors, but not crashes. Make sure you verify game cache (I did it a couple of times :P after each restart)
Attempting to run the benchmark after Steampipe gives me a bunch of
Attemped to precache unknown particle system "Explosion_ShockWave_01"!
Doesn't seem to be any increase in FPS.
Epoch@atmo, I tried something similar to this with the omphud but I found that the cross in crosshairswitcher.cfg was getting written over by the OmpCrosshairPlus in hudlayout.res, leading to an opposite and less desired approach. Have you had an experience similar to this that could help me get something more like yours?
You will have to change the zpos value. If you want the hud crosshair on top, try zpos 5, for underneath use zpos -5
If that doesn't work, try posting a screenshot of the outcome and description of the desired behaviour and I'll be able to help more.
Also, if anyone knows how to change the size of text in the chat window, please post it. Editing ChatFont in clientscheme.res doesn't seem to make any difference.
etf2l is now up for maintenance
Pre Steampipe
aero oncl_threaded_bone_setup 02639 frames 22.804 seconds 115.73 fps ( 8.64 ms/f) 4.545 fps variability
cl_threaded_bone_setup 12639 frames 21.340 seconds 123.66 fps ( 8.09 ms/f) 5.027 fps variability
aero offcl_threaded_bone_setup 02639 frames 22.715 seconds 116.18 fps ( 8.61 ms/f) 4.542 fps variability
cl_threaded_bone_setup 12639 frames 21.136 seconds 124.86 fps ( 8.01 ms/f) 4.940 fps variability
Tried changing "cl_threaded_client_leaf_system" to 1(def 0), didn't make a difference. Possibly because no new areas of the map are shown during the test.
CPU and overclock: x4 955 @ 3.8
Graphics Card: HD 6850
Dxlevel: 81
Resolution: 800x600
Full-screen or windowed: Windowed
Configs enabled: Chris Highframes
Shadows enabled/disabled: disabled
Additional notes: Second 2560x1440 monitor running from 6450 (no Crossfire).
Edit:
According to a guy on Facepunch in 2010, the threading cvars should be left disabled:
//cl_threaded_bone_setup 1 //Causes crashes on disconnects!
//cl_threaded_client_leaf_system 1 //UNSTABLE!
Further testing required to see if things have changed in the meantime.
Edit edit:
Stabbystabby's thread about threading stability on SPUF http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2971352
Anybody got a before/after steampipe benchmark?
CRowDo we know what the map pool will be yet? Are we actually going to see the Euros face banny on on viaduct?
The intervening season of ETF2L will have viaduct in it, so it's possible.
It's really ugly.
Hope this helps :)
narfYou guys didn't hear this from me, but word on the street is that the Australians are a bunch of turbo butts

2sy_morphiendLet's be honest, most people posting that iM is simply outclassed by HRG can't even name iM's entire roster
And yet they've been together for four years*. Perhaps they should have made a name for themselves by now?
* I think this is very admirable, and wish it were the case for European teams too (RIP 9m). But teams like to win, and keep winning. There hasn't been much cause for iM to change their roster given their dominance of OZF.

Could you post a cast VOD of a strong team performance from iM, please?
