FogI think they're over-reacting to the pyro unlocks. Sure it makes the pyro more viable, but it's not game-breaking and will still only be used in limited situations.
I don't care about pyros being able to do more damage, because it's still only going to be run as a novelty role and won't change the meta. But it makes them much more unpleasant to play against due to the immobilizing effect of airblast combined with crits.
With that said, hopefully this will bring more people into 6s and we might get some good new players out of it, even if they'll have to convert to a core class eventually.

Lenovo do some nice 11.6" Thinkpads for "education", which means they're not fancy in terms of design but are built quite ruggedly. They're good once you get used to using the Trackpoint since the touchpads are poor.

You learn to dodge rockets from bombers or surf them if you have to. Only reason I play MGE as soldier, since I main scout.

I tried playing without a crosshair or viewmodel on scout for a brief period (when that no-hud exploit came to light last year). Hitting twitch meatshots with the scattergun wasn't actually any harder than with a crosshair, but tracking with the pistol was impossible.
Also I find twitch shots to be so much easier with a 120 Hz screen.
Can't beat perfect tracking for an impressive spectacle though, especially on scout where your own position is changing so rapidly.
