Even if it were possible, it would likely only beam when you fire, which would simply be distracting.

Dealing with bad internet is a huge pain in the ass, just try and fix it methodically. Since your modem looks like its working fine, let's try a top down (game -> computer -> internet) method.

Figure out what you're dealing with with net_graph 4. Make note of it, whether it's choke, packet loss, jitter, or simply high ping.

• Make sure your network config is right. Comanglia's or b4nny's works well. Put it in your autoexec and restart. I've heard of people who accidentally set their lerp to 400 ms and wonder why everything is so weird.
  
• Try resetting the game: Get rid of your tf/custom, tf/cfg, and boot up the game with -autoconfig. Try playing some pubs. If that works, do "host_writeconfig configname full" to save it to your tf/cfg folder, then spit it in your autoexec.
  
• Do the same with -default.
  
• There's not much else the game could be screwing up, so call your ISP.

That's one of the big problems, the size of the playerbase.

While sites like champ.gg cater towards legitimate 6s players, TF2C and TF2S function almost identically (mumble functionality, creating a lobby, etc are differentiated) and cater towards relatively the same playerbase. TF2S didn't advertise themselves as a more exclusive way to play HL lobbies without the cancer or inexperience, which would have been nice. Ultimately, both will exist, and one won't really kill the other.

These things aren't set in stone, though. Now that two sites exist, we can expect to see more improvements in the future, due to competition. KevinIsPwn is highly active here, and TF2C admins have shaped up since the fundraising incident.

Check out the /advanced folder, there's files you can swap the change the damage number size.

From a inductive standpoint it looks like that was intentional, so that new players will get used to a mumble environment and not shout "NON MUMBLE PLEASE IMPLYING IM BAD" in chat, etc.

The site functions great, I enjoy it. I hate to spread the idea but banned players from TF2C are moving over to TF2S, so that's fun to deal with. Yeah fix mumble.

That's a background element for some random element, probably score/timer. Check out your scripts/hudlayout.res, resource/ui/controlpointprogressbar.res, and resource/ui/hudobjectivetimepanel.res files to see if there is any random timer BG element you can set to "visible 0."

By the way, whats the hud? Maybe if you upload it I could check out further.

Logitech Gs are a very safe bet; personally, I wanted to transition over to a palm grip so I bought myself an MX518.

Since last week Comanglia's has broken my game, not sure why. I consistently pushed 250-700 fps, but I was getting stuttering every second that I couldn't fix through any network configs (lerp, etc).

Try diagnosing.

1. Move out your custom folder, autoexec.cfg, and config.cfg and boot up TF2 with -novid -default. Self explanatory. Hop in a server and check your net_graph 1 for a benchmark.
   
2. If that doesn't help boot up with -novid -autoconfig.
   
3. If that doesn't help, try a different FPS config, such as m0re's, Rhapsody.

If any one of these setups works great for you, type "host_writeconfig yayitworks full" to export the settings to your tf/cfg folder. Then toss back in your custom stuff.

Finally, add back in your network settings (default lerp is 100ms which is horrible). I prefer Comanglia's "Good" settings.

I'm away from my computer, but while this thread is still unlocked, maybe someone can play these STVs to see if its simply blatant hacking. Otherwise the admins will probably need POVs before he gets league banned.

Try changing mat_viewport, but it looks like you've already set it to 1. Try switching mat_antialias (however 0 breaks mumble overlays).
