Quick vtf crosshair replacement?

instead of changing the crosshair name in the weapon scripts, the way i do it is i use a set name (e.g. ""file" "vgui/replay/thumbnails/defaultcrosshair"") and rename the vmt and vtf files in the thumbnails folder according to the name in the weapon script, then 'mat_reloadmaterial "thumbnails"' in console (requires sv_cheats 1), that way i can quickly swap while ingame
(also should be noted that you need to modify the vmt file too under "$basetexture" to match the crosshair name)
