my question is: will it really make me that much better by buying a 120hz monitor will it "instantly" make me so good? rather than keeping a 60hz..
and of course this is implying you have a computer that can run tf2 @ 120fps+ all the time.
people act like if you don't have a 120hz monitor you cannot be good, or reach your full potential as a scout
n0grav i don't even know you - so how can you judge if i rage or not?
when i was really bad i used to rage but i really don't anymore because i don't take mge as serious as i used to.
this thread was made kind of awhile ago my computer runs pretty bad now, i use max frames with a res of 640x420 on tf2 (laugh all you want) and i get bad frames in mid fights especially on a big mid fight map like gullywash. so i cannot play pugs/newbie mix's till i get a new computer which is soon though, same goes for dm servers
but trust me i'd rather play dm servers or pugs than spend my days in a mge server, but i can get good frames in mge servers
you don't even play that often to even have a mentor..
I am not overclocking, but I guess I should get a better psu.. How many w should I get?
Before you say anything I am really new to this stuff, and this is a budget gaming computer, well sort of.
I want to know if I can run tf2 with max settings and get like 60+ fps at ALL times especially on mid fights.
Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 3470 Quad Core Processor LGA1155 3.2GHZ Ivy Bridge 6MB
MOBO: Gigabyte B75M-D3H mATX LGA1155 B75 DDR3 2PCI-E16 2PCI HDMI CrossFireX SATA3 USB3.0
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 OC 1033MHZ 2GB 6.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Video Card
Might get: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 OC 1100MHZ 1GB 5.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI VGA PCI-E Video Card
instead.
PSU: Seasonic SS-400ET 400W EPS12V 20/24PIN ATX Power Supply Active PFC 80PLUS 6PIN PCI-E 120MM Fan OEM
I heard tf2 is a pretty high demanding CPU game, so instead of the i3 I might instead get an i5, and get a 650 gtx. Thoughts please? I am a PC newbie so it is appreciated.
The i5 I will possibly get instead of the i3
