Starkholding mid + pushing 2nd with a sniper seem really powerful

i think if you lower the doorframe onto yard so a sniper cant shoot people standing on the shed thing, it'll nerf it

although you shouldnt make changes to this until its been tested

If you rotated the crate clockwise just a little bit it would cover up that sniper sightline and block the garage spam spot without having an out of place box on the crate for no reason

I played and spectated a couple of pugs on this map today and I have to say there wasn't much I didn't like. Really enjoyed playing with the new textures/lighting and skybox, was a nice change.

One thing that could be problematic is the spam angle into garage from standing on the now lower crates (credit to mangachu for finding this) If you stand by the corner of the diagonal box you can shoot a rocket all the way down to the far end of garage by the pill bottle (even farther to underneath dropdown if you crouch). Being spammed this early when pushing garage makes it really hard to push mid without forcing uber or taking a ton of damage. Could be easily fixed by rotating the second diagonal crate a little bit so that it blocks the view.

explosion marks (third is when standing):

standing inside the garage where you can be hit from this, your rockets will hit the metal above the doorframe if you try to shoot them

you can only start shooting them when you get halfway through the corridor

edit: another thing to think about is holding on the now expanded upper area on second, because it's so open it makes having a soldier or demoman up top more viable and lets you spam somebody pushing in with very little risk of dying. Plus, a demo can spam pills and stickies on point without being able to be shot.

#13 neon_ lft open in Recruitment (looking for team)

Is 12 and picks bad teams on pugme, haven't played with him enough to judge his attitude but doesn't seem like the most mature dude in the world. Not sure what the point of posting one log and saying you've pugged a lot is (pugs don't make u better look at me after hundreds of tf2mixes I'm still bad)

That sounds like a bad idea first because there isn't any sure way to figure out how good a player is and quantatively capture that with elo (higher DPM doesn't account for baiting and such), and second because if a player gets picked on a losing team in a roll but are still clearly better than their team overall, they would get penalized.
If captains want to look up stats they can, just as long as they do so in less than three minutes. An elo for captains would be cool imo (goes up when your team wins, down if you lose) because it would be easier to measure than an individual's and represents how good they are at captaining.

#9 xattuu LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)

I feel like on one level xattuu deserves the flak hes been getting for posting stupid shit on the forums and being immature but having never played on a team with him I have no way of knowing how his actual in game attitude is (along with how good he is in the first place). Even if he have good intentions he's kind of just digging himself deeper. One thing I could note is that he sometimes gets mad in pugs but that's sort of irrelevant because tf2mix and syops pugs can get pretty cancerous and invigorating for anyone. However, playing the victim instead of acknowledging the fact that people may be right about your problems won't get you anywhere.

xattuuaieraxattuuaieraI remember this guy from tf2mix, he was actually awful to play with. I would hope he has matured but I somehow doubt it.I don't know who you are I've just seen you comment negative things everywhereYou would literally add up and no show constantly, and when you would play you would act like an idiot, stop acting like a babyI had 500+ mixes any no one she has gotten upset at me for not showing up. I just don't understand how you can have such a negative opinion on me when I've played with you at most 5 times

Having played that many pugs odds are you've played with toasty more than 5 times and it's not unfair of him to gather an opinion of you off of even a single pug in the first place.

#6 ScoRes jump in Videos
KrocketKarmaI feel like I should posts my jumps now. Thought the general reaction would be a bad one when posting jumps on tftv. Especially when it's self promotion.

You totally should, loved your bigcity jumps in beginnings (cant even fathom syncing that many rockets in one line)

#40 School in Off Topic

I was going through similar things earlier this year and what helped me was really just taking a step back and looking at what I valued more in life. Though it's been said here already, I guess i'll just emphasize that school needs to be a higher priority than games. When I started distancing myself from my computer and playing less and less I actually felt freed, on any given night I wouldn't be obligated to play scrims and had time to relax. Getting started is the hardest part but once you realize what you need to do to fix the problem it gets easier.
Hell, I had do unplug my second hard drive (with games/music) in order to keep myself focused on studying instead of video games. Echoing what's been said, the environment in which you work also makes a big difference. I get most of my work done at school in the library or in a different room if I'm at home. Once you get everything done and can sit down at the computer (or do whatever else you want to) it feels much more rewarding with all the studying/work done with.

sounds like he's inside of a fishbowl sometimes but other than that is more than likely capable of playing video games at an open level of gamership

#9 lft scout/demo in Recruitment (looking for team)

From the few scrims/matches I played with cereal, he had pretty good dm and was ready to adapt to how our team wanted him to play. If he was more vocal in terms of comms he could improve a lot, was really the main thing holding him back imo. Hard to judge only playing with them a little bit but I feel cereal could probably do well on a mid or playoff bubble open team.

It would help if there was some sort of pop up that appeared when you add captain saying that you need to know everyone added so you dont pick bad teams, and warning that you can get restricted or whatever.
