Gotta get in there real deep.
I thought this was a pretty short, to the point fact list about the shut down.

North^Star huge comeback on roamer, can't wait to see him fly.
teams dead dreams dead
=(
Music that gets you hyped. Even with the best editing and frags, if I don't like the music, then I can't enjoy the frag video.
excited to watch it
Mmmm, I wouldn't be so sure. cs:go had so many fucking teams last season in open alone.
Last years total cash prize pot for tf2: $15,840
http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=esports&d=comments&id=12899
Lets say for ballpark we only have 7 paid players per team (obviously this isn't always the case, sometimes more).
S14
Open: 60 teams | fee: $8 | 60*8*7= $3360
Intermediate: 25 teams | fee: $12 | 25*12*7= $2100
Invite: 10 teams | fee: $50 | 10*50*7= $3600
Very, very roughly $9060 raised for ourselves by TF2 league fees. Let's say since there are usually floaters and such, more people paid than 7 per team give another $2k raised by ourselves for padding. That's like $12k we raised ourselves, and TF2 prize pot saw $15,840 in S14. Depending on whether TF2 actually helps with some sort of sponsorship or advertising revenue, its even possible we see more of the cs players league fees than they do ours.
Regarding the increase in league fee.
BirdyrocksnerkulThey're still the same people who pulled the bitcoin crap, so there's no reason for ESEA scams to stop happening. Rapists don't stop raping, scammers don't stop scamming.yea cos i mean an extra $2 couldn't be the result of maybe increased overheads it has to be a scam thank you for showing me the light good sir
Increased overheads and inflation are all fine and dandy, but ESEA still prides itself on league fees going directly to prize pot (or so I think is still the case). They raise the fee, we should see a direct increase in prize payout. They neither addressed the league fee increase, nor spoke of increased prize payout. Which leads me to believe league fees no longer go directly to prize pots, which is pretty shit.
Although, prize pot breakdowns haven't been released yet, so maybe there is still hope?
After asking around, intermediate league fee last season was $12. This season it's $14 so it appears the two dollar league fee increase is for every division.
killemdeaderbuckweetI find it odd that they are advertising the same amount of prize money from last season, yet increased open league fee by two dollars. Seems kind of fishy.
Season 14: Increased overall prize pot from $83,210 to $90,000+
http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=esports&d=comments&id=12588
Season 15: Increased overall prize pot to $90,000+
http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=esports&d=comments&id=13006
I realize its only two dollars, but I always really appreciated the fact that league fee was added directly to the prize pot. Not sure if this is the case anymore.
Didn't last season's pot get increased via the bitcoin scandal?
Partially, but even without that, it will vary from season to season. S12 was advertised as 90k+ and S13 100k+, so who knows I guess. I'm probably just reading too far into it/ expect to get taken advantage of again due to bitcoin feelings.
