Honestly, not sure if its any guides, but I am sure that i have seen it as advice in people's threads asking for help with scout.
I've never written a guide before and most of the scout ones out there say dumb things like "never double jump against soldiers" and "only use the scattergun when you are 1 foot away from them". The guide is meant to be for people really new to the game so its definitely meant for players like you lol. I just need to know if everything I say is easy to understand and accurate. Only jump against hitscan at close range and make sure to airstrafe.
Randomly standing still for a quarter of a second can screw with peoples heads if you don't do it too often and time it right.
Just jump once and not twice because they will expect you to double jump (more useful for soldiers though lol)
If you get a meatshot or have way more health than the opposing scout, back up a little bit because you only need to do 22 damage and he needs to do 125. This should help you avoid getting a good first shot then missing the rest and dieing.
Pyro is in my opinion UP. Sure once it gets in range it can kill you really easily, but so can any class. Hell even an engie can kill a soldier if he gets a good first shot on him. Admittedly the soldier would have to be pretty bad but I think you get my point. getting airblasted over and over again is really annoying. One thing that they could do to fix it is to make it feel like you're getting knockbacked by an explosion so that you still have air control.
The trick to beating a good pyro at close range is to stagger your shots. Idk if that will work against whoever the coolest ugc plat lepyroxd is but it certainly works against most good pyros. Im pretty sure the lag compensation is in the soldiers favor too because sometimes I will die to a rocket and then the airblast sound plays.
Pyro would be way more balanced if they just added the detonator's abilities to the flaregun. As a flanking class she should still have some extra mobility.
If youre a gunboating soldier you're kinda fucked against pyros :/
Would you guys like to see a lightening gun sort of weapon for the pyro? I think it could work if it only worked at all at close range
i just wanted to copy-paste the null movement script and to show him how to spam crouch and airstrafe in circles like a retard so that I would look like a helpful person in this community.
