So for matchmaking you would rather just kill the meta in favour of everyone having to run some shit composition? That makes no sense whatsoever, if you think the normal composition is stale then you don't have to run it. Just don't expect any success.

I got a copy of Age of Empires in a Nutri-grain packet and played the hell out of that.
vaylrenWouldn't the contracts kind of fill the role they want? If valve made it so you had to have a certain level on, for example, the gun mettle coin (or whatever contract coin is available), it means that people have to both pay a small amount & invest a certain amount of time to get in. Slows cheaters from getting new accounts into mm too, because you've gotta get varied stuff like 10 sentry killstreaks on engineer (kill me now, I know), which isn't really made that much easier by hacks afaik.
I'm sure this has been brought up before somewhere
e: also makes sure people have a basic understanding of the game/classes before attempting mm
If I had to do those shitty contracts in order to play matchmaking, I think I would just not bother and play another game.
MattCVPerhaps the tftv add ons was a bad example, nowhere have I dismissed the value of what you do for the tf2 community.
I have already mentioned that there are donation drives I think are worthwhile and have put money towards them myself.
However this passive aggressive guilt trip post is a bit much in away, you should only be doing these things if you feel comfortable to do so and in a financial situation to do it as well.
Again you have done far more for the community than I ever will and this post wasn't really aimed at you, I had hazy memories of a donation drive for tftv personal and thought it was not in best taste.
However it should be clear in my responses that my point is to stop the whole "buy me a new PV or send me to an event i could easily afford to get too myself" type of donation drives.
If people want to see these people go to the events and donating is the only way to get them there, what does it matter that they can't afford it on their own? Your argument makes no sense. If the viewers really want to see Shadowburn play at an events but he can't afford it, then why should you try and stop them from spending their own money to get something they want?
_Pablochief-Hey here's an idea TF2C. Instead of trying to stop people talking about competing services, why don't you go ahead and provide a better service to keep your playerbase? If you don't, everyone is just going to jump ship once those services come out and then your site is dead.
Their service isn't bad. The TF2C website overall is pretty good, it's just let down by the fact the administration/developer team consists of people who are socially inept and can't communicate with the playerbase at all.
You say one bad thing in their chat and they take it as a personal attack, either due to some language barrier (which often results in them not understanding irony/sarcasm it seems), or because the power that comes with their admin rights has gone straight to their head.
If you can't tolerate someone saying 'competing service X looks pretty interesting', you're better off just staying out of public relations completely.
In my eyes the admins should be part of providing good service. If they can't be trusted to keep the legitimate players in and the trolls out, the lobbies are going to suffer and just be awful all round. That's my experience with TF2C anyway, I rarely use it anymore.

It is truly that hard to check if the thread you are making hasn't been made before asking?
Have you checked this out yet?

ComangliaKanecoFull time pyro = aids for demos and soldiers
Full time spy = aids for your own team
Full time sniper = aids for the other team
Full time heavy = aids for spectators
Full time engie = aids for everyone
I think I covered everything.
why do you automatically assume they would "full time" any class
I'd know I'd be constantly switching classes.
Then the offclass aids would be spread even more.
Dan_chief-CptKobeSpaceCadetYeah, each player on [R]eason is fairly experienced, but not together as a team nor are some of their players experienced on LAN. A large factor on why froyotech is so skilled as a team apart from the fact that their players are amazing is that their experience as a team is in another stratosphere compared to most other teams due to them being together for so long.CptKobeI don't understand how that is a "typical reaction", Knoxx was just giving a reason on why they weren't as good as froyotech. For b4nny to laugh in his face shows poor sportsmanship, imo.
I think a better move would've been for him to just ignore it, and just realize that his team won anyways, so it doesn't even matter.
There is a difference between giving a reason for a loss and making an excuse for a loss. He rightly laughed in his face for saying the team was"not experienced and only 3 months together". Give me a break, each player on that team has tons of experience.
Could b4nny have done nothing at all? Sure he could have but making excuses is a way of talking shit, so I don't have any problem with his reaction at all.
I don't understand and cannot decipher how making an excuse is a way of talking shit, or maybe I'm just dumb and can't see the fact that Knoxx's intentions were to insult froyotech by "talking shit" to them.
The insult is the old "you only beat us because we were bad".
That's not an insult.
It is kind of an insult, it's like trying to invalidate their win instead of just accepting that you lost and that they were a better team.

kosIt's fucking AIDS. If I have uber, hearing that weapon scares the shit out of me since I know I can drop to it completely blindly if I've taken any kind of spam damage.
It would be balanced IF:
- Double donks did less damage
- There was some kind of visual indicator that shows how close how it is to exploding (cannonball changing colour etc.)
- Hit radius was reduced since it's big enough to be considered a small planet right now
Ok I got this issue as well as few friends, all you need to do is delete everything in your steam folder apart from your steamapps and steam.exe and let steam reaquire all the files apart from those. This has fixed it 100% of the time if no other solutions work.
