yeah i think the 3600 is a good idea since i probably wont be getting the money for another 2 months minimum, and i'm fine with waiting longer. I think i'll worry about the GPU for later but what would be the best GPU to get for a 3600? im looking into getting an RX 590 or 580 atm.

I've also got no idea about which motherboard i should choose. Like what's the main difference between the 100$ range to the 150$ range? atm looking at this one simply because it comes with dvi-d.

would it be possible at all to get a mobo that works with ddr3 while upgrading the cpu? i reckon it's pretty not worth it considering its already outdated as it is. i dont think i need more than 8GB

I guess one other concern is that I want to be able to play some newer releases / upcoming games, mostly cyberpunk 2077, i'm fine with running a game like that on lower settings if it meant atleast constant 60fps. I've never played a CD-Red game before so i'm not sure how they fare with my current build but would i need to look into a new GPU for that?

edit 2 : also looking into streaming more in the future. I'm willing to pay more money, max maybe 600 if i can get 144+fps while streaming at 720p. Not too worried on the other components on my pc, the case and storage is fine and 500w should be more than enough.

this is what i've got right now, looking to upgrade cpu / mobo mostly, i'm fine with my current gpu. looking to get consistent 144+ fps in tf2, currently drops to 70-90ish fps during team fights / pubs etc. if this isn't possible without a GPU upgrade i'll look into it, but since my other components are so old im more interested in upgrading those.

in 2014-15ish i thought invite player configs would make me better so i found some super old tagg config and installed it. then i was chilling in a surf server and shrugger joined. i made a /teleport bind somewhere on my keyboard and was trying to press it during one of my runs, but instead i accidentally pressed a bind of shrugger that tagg had in the config. after realizing what happened i immediately left the server in utter embarrassment

rowpieces isnt even my alias; i literally just took it from a drum and bass artist i liked in 2013.
its a silly name but crybaby holds a lot more meaning to me personally and im more comfortable going by that alias than another one that i stole when i was young
