#31 I feel it's time to address the pistol. in TF2 General Discussion
the301stspartanBecause entertaining the notion that everyone gets input on game balance regardless of experience or skill is beyond moronic. No, that's desirable. Thinking that only top invite players qualify to have an opinion on balance is beyond moronic.

when game understanding is largely derived from time and experience, yes, invite players (or at the very least players who have been around for a while) are going to have input that's largely more informed and valuable than somebody who plays the game at an admittedly really low level. If you really think otherwise then you're just delusional.

Not that any of this matters because the pistol obviously isn't going to get changed l0l

#4 Attitude by westracer in TF2 General Discussion

the editing in itself is impressive, but this is just another video where as far as I can tell the editor has a lot of technical ability and no taste

#15 LFT (maybe) EOI in Recruitment (looking for team)

absolutely terrible player, can't hit a shot to save his life and his comms are entirely comprised of him complaining about the rest of his team to the point that he's also unbearable to even be in mumble with

avoid

Saltysally1 you might try adding the invite players, i don't think any invite players have made a looking thread since i've been on the forums (long time)

the last invite player to make a looking thread was tagg as far as I remember

#11 finding a cheap crt that has 120 hz above in TF2 General Discussion

I just got a samsung 997mb that does like 140hz off craigslist last month for 20 bucks, it's pretty much your only option. If you can't find any decent crts on your craigslist try looking at the ones for neighboring cities, I had to drive to one of the next cities over for this one.

#5 Cheapish build thread. in Hardware
flatlinea good video card would be something like the radeon 6770, not too expensive and gets me pretty much constant 90 fps on full settings

edit: but you'd need at least a 450w psu, i'd recommend 550w

450 is more than enough for a 6770 unless you're running some old shitty 65nm chip overvolted or something, 550 is overkill unless you plan on upgrading to some microwave oven gtx #80 space heater card in the future

graphics cards are practically irrelevant in tf2 anyways, the game's performance is near entirely cpu based so allocate most of the money there. If you're really trying to go the cheap route I'd look into buying some used parts off of pc forums. I got an i5 2500k with a really good board/ram for like 250 off ocn a while ago.
