Has your life improved since you quit?
Yes, I have more time to devote to other pursuits now that I don't have scrims+matches 3-4 nights a week.
Do you get bored enough to feel the urge to come back to TF2 often, or are you satisfied enough with where you are (or dissatisfied enough with TF2 when you left) to not even consider it?
I play jump/surf maps from time to time when I see a cool one on TF2RJ but I don't pug or pub anymore, Daf probably has more hours/2 weeks than i do at this point.
Did you have some other, non-videogame hobby to spend your time on, or did you exit into the world with no clear plans for what to do next?
I work full-time now and it's hard to find the motivation to play videogames for four hours straight. I find more enjoyment in socializing IRL or just relaxing after work rather than tearing my hair out over my idiotic plays.
What was the main reason that you decided to quit TF2?
To get to the next level i was going to have to put in waaaaaay more time than I had available for a videogame that was starting to feel like a time sink. We were getting on each other in mumble more than was enjoyable and mostly I just lost the motivation / desire to grind. Combined with IRL responsibilities and life decisions it just didn't make sense to put effort into TF2 when I could be advancing myself in areas that will help me in my career / the long run. I still hang out in discord/mumble from time to time with some friends I've made during my time in TF2 though.
And, of course, why do you browse a forum for a game you no longer play?
old habits die hard
