Together, as a community, we should be playing both leagues next season. ESEA is the only league in TF2 where, every season, there is a prize pot (even though it's small) and lan. CEVO will most likely be able to provide a prize pot, but not a lan. Lan is very important to have because it attracts the most exciting TF2. The matches come down to skill and coordination because everyone uses the same computers and has the same ping. Exciting TF2 makes the casting better because there is constant action. Good casting attracts viewers and makes the game bigger. The only reason I watched the International was because the casters made it entertaining. I had absolutely no idea what was going on in-game. At the moment, CEVO will not be able to provide that. A large decrease of teams in ESEA may even lead ESEA to drop TF2 all together. ESEA already dropped TF2 news articles for every division except invite. It's not likely, but I could definitely see it happening. Losing ESEA TF2 would really hurt the competitive scene. We need to support ESEA to keep TF2 alive and healthy and we need to support CEVO, so that they can, at one point, provide us with a lan. Once CEVO has a lan, we can fully transition from ESEA to CEVO.
