Slicerogueviperif someone shitting on you for dropping 8 times in a pug makes you want to quit the game then you probably shouldn’t be playing anyway
Because people who want to play 6v6 and have a good time need to be willing to accept being shit on by many people on a public forum?
rant inbound
Show ContentDo you know how many newbies are afraid of getting into comp tf2 because of this factor alone? Its actually appalling how much this isn't talked about. Yes there's always gonna be criticism and yes people are gonna shittalk or get mad and that is normal for a competitive game, but that should only extend as far as what you exchange in mumble and it shouldn't be over the top at that. You shouldn't be publicly posting to shit on people and bring to light to as many people as possible and make a big deal out of it. You shouldn't be making threads where the premise is "post peoples failures so we can laugh about them" I already know a few people who have quit because of this. I know multiple others who consider quitting because of this regularly. I personally have considered quitting due to this. Some people purposefully dont add up to pugs with popular streamers because they feel if they dont play perfect tf2 someone will clip it and post it on the forums. Its just a not fun experience. How can you expect players to want to play and make mistakes and learn when you shame them for those mistakes. And ill admit that ive done it from time to time too in the past as part of the hive mind. But after hearing lots of newbies (and others as well) being afraid about it I'm trying to change that. Just because you feel like you want ot shit on people doesn't make it ok.
ok ya rocket the player with 73000 pugs played is a new player u jackwagon
if ur gunna be as annoying as he is to everyone u cant complain when people shittalk u
SlicerogueHey this is a quality thread really making those medics feel good and motivated and wanting to continue to play medic. You go guys.
idk if getting rid of meds who drop 8 times is a bad thing tho...
DreamboatI ran into this with a poli-sci prof once.
I wrote 2 incredibly off-color essays before dropping the class, 1 basically saying that Hitlers actions were admirable (focusing on the positives of strengthening Germany to the point of making them a power house. Basically ignoring the genocide and invasions) and then an anti-feminism paper. My TA knew I was writing completely tongue in cheek and trying to offend her, so he found them both hilarious, I apparently heavily offended my prof though.
No regrets.
No regrets about burning bridges for the sake of offending people, dreamboat?

knuckjesus that color correction burned a hole in my retina
ya but props for uploading 60fps to yt in 2013
crestrict all the idiots in the sparkle gang circlejerk who kill every time all 6 of them aren't on the same team
that's from when circa was going by his old alias, that yight and the current yight are different people. circa is yight now and i have no idea what happened to the other one
o
InoWackyfireballyight's story
And what is the actual story? I only ever hear references to this, not what actually happened.
yight used to be way more scummy and had a habit of ditching his team every season for a while and playing with cheaters so i think people just wanna scapegoat him but honestly he hasn't done anything bad recently.
the problems with the faint roster had 1000x more to do with sandblast than yight
Maxi-isn't this the game where they disabled graphics stuff after e3
i think that's every ubisoft game right
heavy on spire is great pls keep it
xoOk, I just finished talking to Nicell and brought up a couple of points to him, a lot that were ignored because there's nothing they can do, but I told him that these things would be foreseeable in the future.
One point was the captains and how there aren't enough. I was told that there are plenty of captains, and that pugs would not die. I gave a literal example that happened TODAY where 36+ players were added for a solid half hour and no singular captain was added up, and we had to wait for another pug to end for those captains to add up as one. I then proposed a solution to this by either auto-picking a captain after a certain amount of players added up, or asking for volunteers, and was then told to "not worry about it".
I then brought up the point about the skill-level of captains. Let me remind you that there are a lot of specific captains chosen to be captains, and the number of pug wins do not matter at the moment. Go ahead and look at the stats of the pug overview page, it's incredibly inconsistent on who and who doesn't have captain, and Nicell refused to explain this. I was told that a ton of people have captain and that people still complain about bad picks, and responded that he should just do an ultimatum and just make every high-skill level player or leader a captain. He disagreed, saying it was a bad idea, and I responded saying that if he thought it was a bad idea, to just do it to prove a point to these players, since all Platinum players have been asking this for a while. If he's wrong, a win for the service. If he's right, then he proves a point, and the playerbase will try to figure out another solution. He disagreed and told me to move on.
I brought up other issues that weren't a big deal like the site UI, and how the chat isn't really well properly placed, as it's a pop-up window that a lot of people don't even read, etc, but those aren't major things. (The site is in beta, but it's still potential to be an issue)
He disagreed with every possible issue I brought up EXCEPT for EU players being an issue, saying that it will be "looked at". That's it, that's all, and the conversation was ended right around there. Let me point out, though, that my rant towards nicell did include a couple of curse-words like "fucking", and was told that it "accusatory" because of that.
im sure he has better things to do than justify every single one of his design choices to every random nobody who cares enough to bitch
loserline49why are the teams called 'Boston' and 'Philly' when almost everyone on it is not only not in those states but not even from the united states? just call them normal team names
