you dont have to, there is a default ringer rule on rgl. invite teams have been doing it all season without having to pay for players.
"Unpaid Subs/Ringers must pay the One Time Match Fee
If a player being used in a match is not paid up on any team in the league, they need to pay the one time match fee."
sounds like this even applies to the guaranteed default ringer
