1. If I were to try to soundproof the room would it even be worth the money? From what I've read it sounds like this will probably be a waste of my time and money.
soundproofing is more for studio/recording purposes, it just seems like you have really thin walls. soundproofing foam/solution wouldn't magically drown out you talking. it will reduce the sound by a minimal amount but i guarantee they will still know when you're awake and talking. also when you're wearing headphones and talking/comming you're a lot louder than you realize so your voice is projecting higher to compensate over the in game noise and people talking in mumble
if you're still carving out your play style as a roamer you shouldn't be worrying too much about DPM at the moment. those numbers are fair if you started to dip below 200 then your dm might be suffering a bit but things like this are best discussed with your team as well because it will help you work out the kinks of what you should or shouldn't be doing in holds and in transition

MR_SLINYou can do surf maps online if you download them for counterstrike, but you can't do it for TF2.
For TF2, you need to join a surf server (which requires internet), then create your own server (offline).

Chances are they will prescribe a drowsy antihistamine before going to sleeping pills, as the latter can be highly addictive.
Also don't rule out seeing a therapist about it, often times when insomnia is acute it's because of a particular stressor in your life.
seeing a doctor wont do anything, they will tell you that you just need a good night of sleep. unless you're losing sleep from being in actual pain you shouldn't expect them to hand you a script for something, most sleep medicaiton like ambien can be bought on the shelf so they aren't gonna give you something stronger unless you have an actual health problem that is causing you to lose sleep
